My former hometown. Lived a few miles out of town from the Buc-cees. There's a gob of excellent restaurants in NB. You're always likely to run into a country music star around town too.
Hi Marc, Super nice little towns. The kind one wishes they could have grown up in. The Comal Springs and the Guadalupe River seems so serene. Nice campground….be careful…these resorts might make you soft. Can’t wait to see you in your new “Buc-ee” shoes!! 😉 Ram 👍🏼👍🏽
I'm still wearing that Buc-ee's hat, Ram. Just yesterday I was walking through a Home Depot in suburban SLC and a guy stopped me, "I've been to Buc-ee's!" We spent much more time on hookups in 2021 than we had planned to, thanks in large part to the ridiculous heat across the West last summer. You're right, they'll make us soft but then again we've been building up our solar, inverter, batteries, etc. for more boondocking. Each has its place in our opinion, and it's always tough to find anywhere to boondock east of the Rockies anyway.

@@laughingram7287 🤣 at the Crocs comment. Isn't that wonderful? It makes such a huge difference, especially when matched with an appropriately sized solar array. We're in the same boat as you -- our new Xantrex Freedom Pro XC 3000W inverter-charger was delivered today, to replace our 1200W Xantrex inverter. We'll be filming that install in the coming weeks. Unlike our current inverter, which powers only one branch circuit (the GFCI outlets) our new one will power the whole house, save for the two a/c units and the electric fireplace. We're darned near finally finished upgrading this puppy.

Hey Marc, man we must’ve just missed seeing ya. We were there at Buccees on 11/21, made the trek from the KOA in San Antonio early on a Sunday and it was packed. ❤️ Buccees and they love taking my money 😒. Stopped at Gruene same day for some fun, relaxation, hear some live music at Gruene hall and eat at Grist mill. Wow always something going on in this town. Till next time, safe travels , you rock🤘🏽
Hey there Arnold and Josie! Yep, we just missed one another by a few weeks -- we were in the area at the end of October/early November. Glad that you had fun heading up to NB! Hope to cross paths someday.
I would have liked you to maybe walk through the downtown area, to get a better look at the shops & venues. There is a fantastic farmers market there in Saturday’s, an Art League, several museums. But driving down the street you can’t see them. And you missed 4 or 5 other murals. Segueing Street has a very old hotel with rooms still furnished with original furnishings.
There's always stuff we'll miss while producing a 15-minute video, Lynette, although we did indeed walk and film the downtown core. Especially when tied to the RV from 8-5 M-F for work. But missing things just gives us a good reason to return.
