Everyone acts like lou is always stoned, sure he had his run but was smart enough to realize if he continued it wouldn't end well. He is a great study and his depiction of street life is like no other and is obviously based in fact. Rip lou and you are the king of New York!!!!
Lou was nearly never stoned. Off his guts high on amphetamines for sure (as he is here, on his journey to sobriety) or smacked up on many occasions. But stoned? No chance
I agree. of all of his songs, this is the one that i come back to time and again over the years. the recorded version is outstanding and this live version sparkles. sha la la la la ... why don't we just slip away.
this man is famous because he was the greatest songwriter/performer, from the late 60s, to the early 20teens, a career that spanned over 40 years.. of the hundreds of songs he wrote/performed, only 2 or 3 can be considered bad. Mr. Lou Reed defined good songwriting in the late 20th Century. He will never be forgotten, rip, gz
you all prolly dont give a shit but does someone know of a method to log back into an instagram account..? I somehow lost the account password. I love any assistance you can give me
@Pedro Korbin thanks so much for your reply. I found the site through google and I'm in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Stesso anno a Genova... Fantastico... ☹️
The man was/is a legend. Dearly love Street Hassle the song and album. Cheers for uploading. How stoned is that guy in the audience? BAHAHAHAHA! Good times.
It has been my first live with Lou, I was 19. I've seen him so many times but this remaisn something special. And not only because it was the first time. Set list, musicians, people (60.000 people were in the Florence park called Le Cascine) made the difference. This seems a restored tape of that concert, thanks for posting. And thanks to Cesare Pierleoni who has filmed it for RAI National TV
First see lou supporting the Who at Charlton football club, 1970s, the valley also met a pair of stones, blissful day's, by the way lou got bottles thrown at him, he finished the set with walk on the wild side, classic memories, lvcx
Saw lou at the Brixton academy on the new sensations tour, amazing show, last time I saw him was at Wembley in 1987 when he blew the bloated pompous U2 off the stage.
Okay where was the pinball game footage shot? Jersey? Soho? Where? I felt like it was a pizza shop in Soho. Please respond if you know the place, thanks.
+rxcoma because his music doesn't appeal to you like to the majority of human kind, that's why. it's fucking rock'n roll spirit, not suited for the average people. if you don't get it now, no worry trying, you'll never get it.
Sono orgogliosam.ente fiorentina quindi posso dire tranquillamente ,.IO C'ERO

I saw Lou with Ian Drury and the Blockheads....what a wild night. Street Hassle is an American classic by a great American songwriter.

Lou steaks as a personalisatie firsthanded speaker

Best song he ever wrote.

@Pedro Korbin It worked and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy!
Thanks so much, you really help me out !
I was not even born when this happened but now i have found this video and i think we are made for each other 😍
Lou was high and having such a fun time. He was the definition of Rock n' Roll. :3
I know this is 5 years ago but yea he looks high.
Though I think he started getting more sober in 1980 and on
When people say New Yorks Finest they really are talking about people like Lou Reed.....
I'm speechless.
Mans got so into it that it looks like he was about to cry at the end.
This video had to be the blueprint for someday by the strokes. Pinball machine and all that jazz
this is bloody perfection!!!!!!!!????
I wish I had been there.... amazing experience, superb show
Fantastico LOU, bel concerto !
One of Lou’s best- if you could pick a best
This was Lou’s Growing Up in Public band. He’s best band ever!!!!
Except for the one with Fernando Saunders, Robert Quine and Fred Maher! He had some great bands backing him.
Agreed, best band in 1980 but not a great album that year.
@muhrvis saw the 84 new sensations tour, robert quine was even cooler on stage than lou
bloody excellent

" Grazie! "
A te, Lou.
Ero lì con il Berny..........furono ore imperdibili e indimenticabili.............Grande LOU.................
Fantastic Song TAKE NO PRISONER 1978 RCA.
One of Lou Reeds greatest tours with the brilliant New York guitarist Chuck Hammer.
The man was/is a legend. Dearly love Street Hassle the song and album. Cheers for uploading.
How stoned is that guy in the audience? BAHAHAHAHA! Good times.
prolly on smack
Holy crap, is that kid out on a weekend pass ? LOL.
@@albertmantel7090 jesus..yeah id say so, how i used to look

Way more powerful than the Original.
Rip, 2013- 2023, , 27 october, ten years 🖤🎉
This is just amazing!!
Fantastic...Lou. Better than original.
Kinda prefer aspects of his vocal on the LP version to this, but definitely agree it packs a way bigger wallop.
Love this song... Lou Reed looks like he could be the brother of Joe Piscopo
best version I’ve seen. thank you!
great song
nothing left to say
Trés Bon!!! merci.
Haha the dude on the nod at 1:36.
lol
Lucky guy!!!
I been sober a while
But for me ,it would’ve been great to catch a
Lou show and an Elvis show while “rushing on my run”
Good catch
Stupendo! Mitico Lou!
trasmesso ieri 27 settembre 2016 su Rai 5

First see lou supporting the Who at Charlton football club, 1970s, the valley also met a pair of stones, blissful day's, by the way lou got bottles thrown at him, he finished the set with walk on the wild side, classic memories, lvcx

As a lead guitarist Lou makes a great rhythm guitarist.
Perfect
That's ok. His lead was just fine. Two minutes of it, no, but we didn't get two minutes.
Great epic jag!

Mooi.
Music to me, that is real music is Lou, the Doors and Elvis- rest are imitators and not creators
DOES ANYONE KNOW THE GUITAR PLAYERS NAME IN THIS VIDEO? IS IT CHUCK HAMMER, FROM SANTA BARBARA?
+Benjamin Grelle 3:53 Lou introduces the musicians.
+Benjamin Grelle yes
+Benjamin Grelle
I was there...
Chuck Hammer on the rhythm, Stuart Heinrich on the lead
+Benjamin Grelle : Chuck Hammer on Roland Guitar. They were both amazing lead guitarists. Lou's greatest band.

The band is taking this great song seriously . Lou is hamming it up . He is bored .
HEY.....DISREGAURD............LOU JUST INTODUCED THE BAND.....IT IS CHUCK.
RIP Lou Reed you would have loved NPR Tiny Desk and the hip new right wing anorexic Brooklyn dolls
Why is this man famous??!!!! Uuuggghh
HE WAS A TRUE SOCAIL ARTIST, WRITING ABOUT THE TIMES.
+rxcoma because his music doesn't appeal to you like to the majority of human kind, that's why. it's fucking rock'n roll spirit, not suited for the average people. if you don't get it now, no worry trying, you'll never get it.
