Well, my question is: why to bother to farm resonance as f2p player ? You will just end hating the game with all that work for a little bit resonance really usable only in pvp, where you will encounter spenders with higher resonance anyway. So, again, what's the point ? So, as a f2p player take this resonance aspect of the game as it is and enjoy the rest of the gameplay, without transforming it into a full-time job .
Some players enjoy playing full time and it's free. Unlike WoW where u have to pay every month Point is fun, others can have 12h fun per day and it doesn't feel full time job. People are different if u know what I mean. Just do the math, 8k dmg without and 12k dmg with reso helps in pve too not only pvp but it only help, u can still lose 600 reso player even if u have 3k And pvp are unfair in MMORPG's anyway No amount of reso helps u if your character are stunlock whole fight. So my question is: Why not?

The grind to pull this off is understated. The problem is selling and buying a legendary gem back between alts is not practical and acquiring 19+ legendary gems to sell to all your alts for f2p is not possible. For example, say the main sells a 1* legendary gem at max platinum, which caps at 2x "market value". If you want the gem back to do it again, you have to hope to snipe and are still forced to pay 1/2 of "market value". So if market says the gem is 800 platinum, you gain (transfer) 1600 from the alt (1360 after tax) then lose 400 to get it back. So this method technically works, but you lose 40% of the plat from the alt every transfer and still have the hassle of sniping your gem back every time. You can probably bring in an extra 10-20k platinum per week grinding this like crazy, so it does work, but considering all the platinum losses, it would take forever to amount to 1000's of resonance.
It's actually a loss of 31.25% If you sell for say 1600 and buyback for 400 you've transferred 1360-400=960. You've lost 1600-1360+400-340=300. The loss relative to the amount transferred is 300/960=0.3125. If you are patient like me you will only sell when you can for >= 1600 and buyback for 400, your loss will be slightly less.
@@danielgriffiths845 I agree with everything you said. The way I view loss of 40% is because in this case the alt aimed to transfer 1600, but could only deliver 960 (60%). So 40% could not be transferred and it's not technically all gone from taxes, but it's not on the main. Like you said, if you're really patient, you can reduce the loss or increase the % transferred somewhat, but with so many alts and transfers, it's just a massive, massive hassle that I can't see hardly anyone actually gaining 1,000's of resonance from.

I have been using this method since you first posted. Worked great until this week. I made a transaction like normal, but my primary never received payment. I withdrew the gem, reposted, making sure that I picked a value that no one else had, and repeated. Same thing occurred. The next day my account was suspended. Oh well, it worked great while it lasted!
I have one other character that I like to play every now and then, but I couldn't grind more than that. That is just too much time that I and many people don't have. Blizzard: Good good!
The fact that you had to explain this method to gain resonance proves the current game is broken. No game should require this to gain resonance without spending thousands of dollars.
IT guy here. Regarding multiple bnet sccounts. There's no reasonable way for blizz to differentiate a person running multiple accounts from an address vs a dorm/apartment/business or any other location with shared internet access running multiple bnet connections. If you're multiboxing and not masking your Mac or some other unique identifier, maybe. I've had multiple bnet accounts since bnet was established in 1996 and none have been banned Anyone who says they were banned for multiple accounts is speculating and probably did some other shady shit.

I've used multiple bnet accounts and trading between them. You don't get banned. Just don't use broadcast input (you click one location on main client and all other clients mirror that input and click same location etc). This will get you banned.

I would like to meet any player who has actually got the maximum free weekly platinum for his main and 19 alts. I imagine he would come across as someone who has suffered prolonged and extreme mental trauma with bloodshot eyes, looking malnourished mumbling to himself in between grinding his teeth and having involuntary muscle spasms.
An easier way that gets you a lot of plat as well is just build one solid alt and run dungeons with them every day to farm the 12 gems and buy up charms to make skill stones sell these and gems you get and you easily make an extra 25 to 30 k a week in plat for an extra hour of work then with your main put up 1 star gems or 2 star and max the price on them and sell to alt it's fun and much easier, of course you won't make as much as what Darth just told but will take much less time
1 hr extra work a day for an extra 25-30k a week? That around 4k plat an hour, if your numbers are right. Since 72000 plat is $108 after tax, that's low end $5 worth of plat an hour. I'm curious. Would much appreciate to see hrs put into this method + plat gained after expenses
I think the absolut best way was to farm the spider legs in Fahir with your Alts. It got me 200+ normal gems a day for 2h of work. But it got patched recently...

You can also get a purple crest on each character by doing 35 elder rifts. This will give you enough embers to craft a purple chest from the gem vendor.

Rumor is that the other RUclipsr was buying platinum on alternate accounts from those illegal vendors and then used that platinum to buy gems from the main account (platinum laundering) and that's why he got banned.

It's so innefficient though. You lose the value of the gem you sell to yourself, it can represent 50% of cost of the transaction. That's gem power that you're just throwing away. And then there's the 15% service fee.
gem power that you threw from an alt char that you're not using to clear raids, pvp battles,wars is not a losing value in my opinion... i mean that's its role and purpose in the first place. an elder rift/gem power mule :D
Market now forces you buy low priced items first now. This method isn't necessarily relevant anymore unless you do it in on a market item that has no other listing present
They can’t ban you for having multiple accounts. It’s like what if people have multiple people in one household playing. Plus if you wanna make multiple accounts that’s your business. That dude who got banned did something else. Go back and listen to his video. The language he uses is language that guilty people use. My guess is botting or other methods to get multiple characters doing stuff with one click instead of controlling each character individually. Stay safe !
I wish blizzard will make the in-game hero height the same as diablo 4... @Rev Now you only get gems from your first run, meaning resetting the boss/legs afterwards won’t drop them anymore.
@Rev Resetting the boss with the darkness chest and the smoke from dh. The gems were accumulated over my 19 Alt accounts 😶

It's so innefficient though. You lose the value of the gem you sell to yourself, it can represent 50% of cost of the transaction. That's gem power that you're just throwing away. And then there's the 15% service fee.
gem power that you threw from an alt char that you're not using to clear raids, pvp battles,wars is not a losing value in my opinion... i mean that's its role and purpose in the first place. an elder rift/gem power mule :D

They can’t ban you for having multiple accounts. It’s like what if people have multiple people in one household playing. Plus if you wanna make multiple accounts that’s your business. That dude who got banned did something else. Go back and listen to his video. The language he uses is language that guilty people use. My guess is botting or other methods to get multiple characters doing stuff with one click instead of controlling each character individually. Stay safe !
I wish blizzard will make the in-game hero height the same as diablo 4... I understand it's for the purpose of the phone users but I'm a PC gamer and prefers the original character size in the previous diablo games... and also why is it that when i'm in window mode, it always returns to full screen everytime I warp to other places?
