Great video series - thank you! I think more mastering tips would be awesome - like how would you approach a final mix of simple recordings like solo voice/piano or solo voice/guitar? On the other end... complex mixes like a string quartet or epic film scores?

Lovely! It looks all so easy and it makes so much sense. I am grasping the band choices more and more, and combining them with a theory I developed some years ago. It would be so nice to have a chat about this. PS: in the update, I hope you are working on keyboard workflow and reducing the mouse movements a bit. Arrows to go to next or previous elbow point, down and up to move the slope, for example. Combined with alt and ctrl keys to move between primary, secondary and tertiary points. Just thinking out loud ;) Thanks for these inspiring guides!

Do I do this in my session (on the master bus) to get ready for mastering or is this considered mastered or is the simply remastering a track (after doing the process that process)? Sorry, new to all of this.

Also, if I download a 2 track beat to record over, should I do this process to it before or after recording over the 2 track?

This was for remastering various tracks that had been previously mastered. That said, your unmastered track is just a noise element governed by the spectrum of noise and universal rules...how you handle compression, stereo-width enhancement, etc. is to your ears taste.

      @@OKLAHOMALOVE2 Afterwards...treat it as a raw element...plus, you don't want to "double-master" it.
