I'm 30 with insomnia and after sleeping pills, post work exercise and mediation this has been Super successful of helping me sleep. I forgot tomorrows problems and just remember when I was a kid sitting with my dad evertime we heard thunder and watching the rainstorm from our porch. No worries, no responsibilities, Just me and my dad. I havent slept this well in years.

This is my primary go to listen, like loads of other grateful people, but I have come to realize I like a tad more thunder incoorporated. And I would totally trust that you wouldn't go crazy with it. You truly have a gift for sound balance! (And I work in radio so I am picky about sound)
Well, here I am... 2 or 3 years ago, I watched this video to get away from the stresses and demands in working in health care, dreaming of one day I would move into a small cottage where I would find peace and quiet. Snowed a little today, air is crisp, some birds visiting on the porch. Lighting a small fire and a cup of steaming tea. Only person not here yet is a small cat or dog, but will one day when ready for a new tiny friend. Been watching the leaves falling, today watched soft snow placing its blanket on the trees. Time to bring out thick wool socks to keep my feet warm. May you all find some peace in your souls, it is there waiting for you.

I live in the Southern Appalachian Mountains and this is exactly what it is like on a cool September evening, as the rain drops seemingly knock every, bright red leaf from it's nurturing spot of the maple tree in the front yard. I can remember watching Walt Disney as the bed time hour slowly grows closer. I can still hear the voices of my parents softly speaking as to discuss the days happenings. Their soft spoken voices lulling me to sleep. The safeness I felt in my soul as I said my bedtime prayers. I can still hear the old wood stove door squeak it's last squeak as my father puts in the back log and more wood to last the night. I can smell the smell of his pipe tobacco as he sits taking his relaxing smoke as he reads his Bible by the stove. My mother coming into my room for one last kiss and to ask if I had said my prayers. As I start to drift away I can hear the rain slowly dancing on the metal roof of our warm house. Every now and then I hear the sound of a gust of wind as it tries to enter a window but only lets out a slight whistle as it retreats for another attempt. As I drift off I can feel every ounce of love in our little house. I miss those days, I miss the slower pace life, I miss the time when a handshake was all you needed to close a deal. I miss the time when we never locked our doors, I miss the time of communities that stood by their neighbors who were in need. I miss the love in everyone's heart as we all cared about everybody's feelings no matter the color of their skin or the religious beliefs in their hearts. I miss the time when you knew that all was well in the world. Goodnight and may all y'all's dreams come true and remember God doesn't make mistakes. Love to you all.

I an very picky aby my sleeping noises. Usually i like a fire with rain but most of the time its all rain and i cant hear the fire or all fire and i cant hear the rain. But this, this is where its at.

There are so many videos like this: aesthetically appealing, sounds of fire cracking and rain outside, but this is the only one that really sounds natural to me. I'm listening to it and I'm taking my phones off over and over to check if it's raining outside or if it's just the video. This sounds exactly like the rain hitting my windows and roof. So good!

Well I did that until he was flattened sorry to put a damper on it but hey how that's life this shitbit relaxing
And when all things fail, there only one thing that keeps us from going insane is Nature. I have never loved anything more than the sound of rain and crackling of wood fire. We grew up in city where it rained heavily and cooking on wood fire was a usual thing. If nothing, we would at least heat water for cooking on it.
I still remember the winter nights, just before our festivals, when we would sit around a manual stove, listening to the sizzling of rice paste on oil and sipping hot tea, while it rained.
Thank you Calmed by Nature, for bringing back those memories.
Feels good to be on the good side of the internet. Also I have insomnia and my sleep schedule was completely messed up. After I started listening to this music like the sound of the wood burning, raindrops pouring down the windowpanes and a cozy little cabin house with minimalist decor with that kitten I just start dreaming about being in one of these cabin houses and just chilling with a hot chocolate drink. i had a hard time today because i was at my friend's and i got so stressed and wanted to come home, 12:04 am i finally get ahold of my grandparents and get home. this knocks me out. thank you so much.
Back aching, tired, weary. Made it out of the hospital, long shift. Weary thoughts.. did I forget anything, did I make any difference... no, I must get out of here. Made it out to the car, windy, rain, city noises, sirens, rumbling buildings, speeding cars.
Got into the car...silence. Leaning back in the seat, closing eyes for a few moments, remembering to take a deep breath, and another. Wishing I was home. Slowly putting the key into the ignition, car starting, shifting into gear, slowly pulling out of the parking lot. I am on my way home. The usual route, usual traffic, some clown drivers, but don't get emotional, just stay away from them. Some tension starting to slowly lift. Moving forward, city lights in the rear view mirror, mowing towards the soothing darkness in the country, can see the silhouette of the trees against the dark blue sky. The faint porch light is on, here is my little cottage.
Made it home. Opening the door.. looking to the window, yes, mouser is there looking out. Walking on the gravel walkway to the old weathered entry door. Keys feel cold in my hand, opening the door. Mouser greeting me at the door, meowing. Laughing to myself, are you greeting me or are you wanting a treat. Either way, I am happy to see mouser. Ooh the fragrance, forgot I started the crock pot early this morning before rushing off to work. A heartwarming soup with some biscuits, thank you crock pot for being so nice to me, what would I do without you. After nourishment..listening to the silence, looking out the window, starting the fire, just a small fire for the evening. Mouser always takes my reading spot..I guess I have to sit in grandma's old wing chair. Yes it squeaks sometimes, but it is comforting, it squeaked for grandma too... feeling her calming presence. The kettle is whistling, time to make a cup of tea. Pouring hot water into grandpas favourite stoneware cup, cheers grandpa I think in my mind. Deciding not to read, just to take in calming atmosphere, the peace surrounding me. Listening to the raindrops, mouser purring, little sounds of the cottage, the fire crackling, fizzing. Feeling connected to the earth.
Night has come, the fire is going to sleep, just a few glowing coast left. Air is cooling, mouser has already reserved a spot for himself on the bed...ok... I guess I sleep on the left side, again. Crawling into bed, that wool blanket is so comforting, a special warmth. Good night all.

Hey guys, I just wanted to stop by to send some positive energy to all of you! These past years been very tough to me. Ive been challenged mentally, emotionally and certainly spiritually. I feel like i’m finally finding myself and who I was once before when I had peace. I am thankful to come across a channel like this one that shows me that we are really all one in the same. We all have these daily struggles that we deal with that can keep us up late at night but just know that you are not alone. Knowing that I can come here and openly express myself and see others doing the same gives me hope that the world will indeed be a better place but it starts with us. We have to set an example for others and I know we can do it. Peace and Love to ALL OF YOU BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE.

I'm an aspiring writer and I've tried listening to music to dull out the noise pollution of everyday life so I can focus on my writing. But the problem for me is that music evokes too much emotion for me when I write. That's when I discovered these ambience videos. They are emotionally neutral but provide the right kind of sound and ambience for my method of writing. What writer wouldn't what to jot down some words to the sound of rain or a crackling fire? Plus the added interior of the cabin aesthetic really makes me feel like I'm in a cozy place. It's the perfect setting for me to get some work done. Thank you!

This is the most restful and absorbing nature video I have ever found. The rain/distant storm sound is heaven, firelight, cat, brief tiny almost magical sparks, books, hot drink - everything subtly changing. I feel tension flowing away I didn’t even know was there. I’m bookmarking on phone and computer. I feel I’ve stumbled upon a treasure. Thank you, whoever made this!
This really helps me to visualize and practice living in the cabin I'm building in the Spanish Peaks of Colorado. Everything that we want to manifest in our lives must first be seen in our mind's eye. Thanks for posting this scene......especially the fireplace.

This virus is real, it spreads easily and sadly some people who catch it die horrible deaths hooked up to ventilators and with tubes in every orifice. Wear a mask, stay and home and get vaccinated. When I was a child, the rain always set me to sleep calmly. But now, since my area is in a near-constant state of drought, I’m so excited to experience rain again that it keeps me awake. Happily with this video I can sleep without worrying about missing the “rain”. Thank you 😊

I an very picky aby my sleeping noises. Usually i like a fire with rain but most of the time its all rain and i cant hear the fire or all fire and i cant hear the rain. But this, this is where its at.

I live in the Southern Appalachian Mountains and this is exactly what it is like on a cool September evening, as the rain drops seemingly knock every, bright red leaf from it's nurturing spot of the maple tree in the front yard. I can remember watching Walt Disney as the bed time hour slowly grows closer. I can still hear the voices of my parents softly speaking as to discuss the days happenings. Their soft spoken voices lulling me to sleep. The safeness I felt in my soul as I said my bedtime prayers. I can still hear the old wood stove door squeak it's last squeak as my father puts in the back log and more wood to last the night. I can smell the smell of his pipe tobacco as he sits taking his relaxing smoke as he reads his Bible by the stove. My mother coming into my room for one last kiss and to ask if I had said my prayers. As I start to drift away I can hear the rain slowly dancing on the metal roof of our warm house. Every now and then I hear the sound of a gust of wind as it tries to enter a window but only lets out a slight whistle as it retreats for another attempt. As I drift off I can feel every ounce of love in our little house. I miss those days, I miss the slower pace life, I miss the time when a handshake was all you needed to close a deal. I miss the time when we never locked our doors, I miss the time of communities that stood by their neighbors who were in need. I miss the love in everyone's heart as we all cared about everybody's feelings no matter the color of their skin or the religious beliefs in their hearts. I miss the time when you knew that all was well in the world. Goodnight and may all y'all's dreams come true and remember God doesn't make mistakes. Love to you all.

I have a cat and when it rains he always comes up to me and settles down beside me with his tail on my leg. Its really relaxing when you have a cat snorring and raining sounds

I've been listening to this for a while now and I must say it is absolutely phenomenal. The sounds and the scene are perfect and the fact that you made everything yourself shows how dedicated you are. The rain is perfect, it actually sounds like it's hitting a window and the roof as opposed to being in the room with you. Not to mention the fire. Everything about this video is perfect and it helps me greatly get to sleep. I feel comforted with this video, since I get very nervous and paranoid when I'm home alone. I just want to say thank you for helping me sleep and all your hard work. This is certainly the most relaxing ambient noise video ever.

I've found this to be the most relaxing, calming, and peaceful audio of all. I love the sound of rain, but I don't like feeling like I'm outside in the rain. This audio (accompanied by the perfect image of the warm fireplace inside a cozy cabin with my kitty as my companion) is perfect because I am inside--safe, dry, warm, and protected.
