@r0lfi when you say same depth as field, do you mean greater or shallower depth of field? I'd magine the zoom lense gives the more shallow depth of field, am I right?
hey could this lens replace the kit lens? and does it have zoom? because i am planning on buying the t2i but im not sure if i should buy just the body or the kit

@AshKilamande There is no zoom on the sigma 30mm, the kit lens have zoom, but you can't get the same depth of field with it as the 30mm.
