Grotto Dev here! Curious what your fave enemy is! Mine is Prospector since they are surprisingly smart with how they act (they'll avoid attacking Bomb Rocks for instance unless they are sufficiently far away). The next floor for FFG is gonna have a lot of fun and unique foes that hopefully we'll get to show off soon! :)
My favorite enemy... I guess the Prospector is also my favorite for how you are describing it, but the Level 2 Mushroom is a second favorite just because it's a big grumpy boi And good luck on the development of the next floor! There's a high chance that i will showcase it
still insane to me that the team saw Dripilla's finished state and thought "yeah this boss is fair balanced and fits the chapter in terms of difficulty, let's release it like that." in general many Fall from grace's enemies & bosses are much tougther than the normal game's alt floors but man this boss is on another fucking level. i really hope the devs will make an update to balance some stuff in the mod, because visually it might be the single best one right now, on par with antibirth or FF. just some tweaks in the balancing and it would be near perfect.
Fun fact: I haven't heard the Grotto track before now, because I always play with Excelsior installed and it comes with custom tracks for most modded floors as well. Swampbooger is a bop and a half.
Another fun fact: there is an unused boss for the Grotto named "Grant", who is sort of an engineer guy. His sprites are a bit unfinished, but his attacks are functional and fleshed out (you can go see what he's like in a different Grotto bosses video) Edit: I've been informed that he was for the Boiler instead, oop

He was designed for boiler before it was going to be a downpour alt, but instead it’s own thing. Because of that he doesn’t really fit with the current direction that boiler went in, which is probably why he got cut. A good amount of his attacks did get carried over and repurposed for other enemies and bosses!

A fun fact, Plumpod II is most commonly fought with the rails in his room, the first fight you showed where the only source of his food is from his flowers is actually the rare alt version you could get (Also as a side note, the railways provide him with different foods/attacks, including a burning oil barrel (spits out a few airstrike tears which shoot out fire when they land) and crystals (spits out a slow, wide arc of crystal spears)
The FFG devs have already started working on the maus alt before grotto released. They already know what they are gonna be doing, so at this point it’s just implementing all of the planned content. Grotto took around a year to come out, so I believe the maus alt would release a year from now.

I love the plant themed enemies since we don't have a lot of those. Can't wait to see how Mausoleum + Dank Depths will look like

The popcaps are actually really neat, you take an enemy and hide it as an object from the environment

I'll be honest. he seems more like a boiler boss, a bit more on theme then mushrooms
He was designed for the boiler. His early sprites and concept art were in a discord thread long ago.

Now the main goal is to make sure FFG devs don't make the same mistake as Revelations team and third floor doesn't take 5+ years to be developed :)
