Melanie - thank you for making this webinar happen. Carole, you are fantastic not only your knowledge of the product but you are ABLE to present tutorials in a very pleasant, interesting and understandable manner. The way I learn from tutorials is to first play them through then open my PSP 2018 Ultimate, replay the video then pause it where I wish to perform same actions in my PSP with my images. Between PaintShop Pro Ultimate and Pinnacle Studio 21 Ultimate (another Coral product), I don't need a bucket list! Thanks much, Ira
I love Carol I bought 2020 when I found psp and I bought 2021 but only used or opened it a couple times... Carol has taught me to do some tings shes so kind and will talk to you tell you anything how to use the PSP where can I get the script mask I cant find it, but I am still baby stepping electronics. but want to learn so I can make scarapbooks soon
i guess Im asking the wrong place but does someone know a method to log back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb lost the password. I appreciate any help you can offer me!
@Imran Layton thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site on google and im trying it out atm. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
More supplies are often available when you go to the Home tab (the little house icon on the very top of the screen), and go to Get more. Another interesting thing is that you can also add regular .jpg files in black and white (and grey) into your Masks folder and they will become usable as masks. You can then download or purchase a variety of masks from many sources.
Thanks for this useful video, I will look at the others already done and the ones to come. A suggestion to help us understand.....when you do a command on the keyboard that we can not see on the screen , please tell us verbally while you do it .
A suggestion for improvement is when referring to a tool you are using, go slowly enough so we can see where you found that tool. You refer to the "pick" tool, but I have no idea where it is found.
Great tutorial. In going through this tutorial in PSP2019, I notice I have far fewer options in the "Load Mask from Disk" than in the example. Am I missing something?
The default supplies are minimal but more supplies are often available when you go to the Home tab (the little house icon on the very top of the screen), and go to Get more.
One small remark about the definition of vector layers,,, it is created from mathematical equations between nodes,,,, this is why when you zoom in to a certain data in a vector layer file, the equation remain unchanged and consequently you do not lose clarity of the data,,,,this justify why we do not lose resolution in texts in Pdf file when we zoom in as these files are made of vectors not pixels layers.
Thanks for clarifying that "no pixel" layer where the display is precisely recalculated for each degree of zooming from it's mathematical image description.
Robert Kirsch,,, I appreciate your feedback. I consider myself a biggener in this field. I have purchased recently Corel Paint Shop 2018 as I love taking photos and sometimes faces problems in the end product that definitely requires some editing. Simply, I am learning myself , watch videos and read sometimes about the subject. This is how I could catch the information about vector layers. However, I like this channel and the method of simplifying the information to the followers. Although English is not my mother toung, but I am trying to listen and understand as much as I can. Thanks, and please continue introducing this great material.
I enjoyed the tutorial, one question. In a photo which has a defined horizon, like a beach or a mountain, can I create a mask that will allow me to place the text (or part of it) behind the mountain, or look as though the text is rising out of the sea? What I am trying to do is place text behind parts of the image. I know I can probably do that with the erase tool, I wanted to try it using masks ans layers.
Thanks for this video, but is there a way to use directly a vector as a mask ? I'm looking for create a "hole" in a picture, using a vectorial shape, because this shape could be differents in some case. It must stay editable... Someone have an idea ? :/
You cannot draw a vector shape directly onto a mask layer, but you can work your way around: - draw your vector shape with a white fill wherever you want it to appear as a mask, just above the Mask layer - add a mask layer (hide all) above your photo - go back to the vector shape you drew and convert it to a raster layer - move that raster just above the mask layer - merge the shape layer and the mask layer That should let you use that vector shape "as a mask". However, that shape is no longer editable, unless you kept a hidden copy that you can reuse later. Hope this helps.
Did you add the free Creative Content pack? Go to the HOme page, and on the left, click Get More. You might have to scroll to find the Creative Content Pack. Download it and install it. You will get more masks.
What amazes me is people taking the time to make a tutorial for this company and using the absolute WORST picture as a sample to show the features. Clearly they have their programmers showing the features not artistic people who would actually use a program like this

Thank you Melanie and Carole. Excellent job with the mask tutorial Carole. This is a great follow up of the Love Story tutorial.

Hi, great Webinar...question, I have Paintshop Pro 2018 and when open the Load Mask from Disk I only have 5 masks, How do I get more?

Thank you for the suggestion. I try to mention them but I guess I forget on occasion.
Great Webinar ❤️❤️

If you are able to send me an example of the end result you want, I might be able to give you some more precise answers to this.
@@CreationCassel how do i send you a picture?

Very helpful!
none !!!!none of these masks are on my disc, not in paintshoppro 2018 or 2019 , so where are these masks in the program???

@@CreationCassel going to go, not still good even at instructions but I am trying. thank You goingo try to find it.
layers palette - arrange mask layer - in front -
image - invert what do that mean.
It might be Image > Negative image?

Not very well thought out, amateurish. Sorry.
