Hi Matt,....nice streamer! What is the size of the hook in your vid? I want to try build this guy for small pike in The Netherlands. greetings and tight lines.
sculpin have wide flat heads and big peck fins that they use for motility as well as quick strikes on insects and smaller baitfish. I have noticed these fins are almost always splayed out as they hunt along the bottom of the river. i left deer hair on the sides of this sculpin pattern to help imitate a wide head and peck fins. thanks for watching - mt

Well done

Real nice fly!! Gonna tie one up for some smallmouth. Thanks for sharing, Matt.
This is good stuff. Great job. Very simple to tie.
Looks like a very quick and easy pattern to tie, you don't mind loosing a few in the course of the day.
Good!👍👍 I add (super)glue to the tying thread before whipfinish. Very strong and finished at once.
Nice pattern. The sculpins where I fish are brown, so I'll probably try this in natural colors.
Understandable. Gotta take some days to fish! I would love to see some salmon/steelhead flies if you have some!

That's sexy! Love this one. What's the idea of the deer hair sticking out on the sides Matt? ATB.
What size hooks do you use? And would you use a stinger hook on any of these?
Cool, thanks for that Matt!
that is a great question and i have an endless stream of videos to come. but tomorrow, i'm going streamer fishing. - mt
