    A separate high water alarm for the bilge is reassuring and not terribly expensive. Great episode guys. Look forward to your next episode.

    As an anesthesiologist I can resonate with you, Ian, on the neuroscience of how drugs affect the neurons. In my case to either stop transmission of pain impulses, or the complete cessation of consciousness to allow for surgery. Love hearing you, Alex, sing with your soothing, comfortable voice. Look forward to playing your songs next time I make it out to the water on my little catalina 22. Keep up the great work!

    Hola chicos !!! Check out the track by "Afterlife - Breakfast at Benirras" It captures the essence of this magic place, and the general vibe of Ibiza beautifully. . . And so nice to see Benirras from a different perspective. . . Saludos cordiales. . .

    More about the high water alarm. We had a friend who came to his boat almost every weekend. We wired a bell to his float switch and had it hidden in his engine room. He woke up the next morning and told us he could hardly sleep but had no idea where the alarm bell was, nor what caused it to ring. We had to break down and tell him! We all got a great laugh however.

    Mallorca is beautiful and much better than its rep. Been there several times on chill holiday and done few active cycling holidays too where you see every corner of the island. Pity its still often stamped as the "german" island or by certain party areas. There's much more to discover than that

    • @chriszanf
      @chriszanf 3 года назад

      I went there a few years ago on a cycling holiday with my then cycling club and as long as you stay away from Palma, its really nice. Mind you, we went early in the year so there wasnt a lot of 'general' tourists. It was cool enough to do lots of cycling but warm enough to not wear cold weather clothing.
      We were in Port de Pollença and would often cycle into the centre then up to the north coast and back. Absolutely gorgeous!
      Definitely fancy going back there again

    Ah yeh plenty of things to economise on. I bought a Chinese no brand diesel blown air heater, but that's a luxury - best to go with a decent brand for anything related to safety its not worth the weight on your mind - especially if something does go wrong heaven forbid!

    I bet you've already thought of it, but maybe take some time and video your courses, bundle them, and sell them online. That way you wouldn't have to be there in person, but could answer questions when you have good internet. Or set it up as a subscription service.

      @@NavikaSailing depending on what video conference software you are using, you could likely record the sessions you're doing live... If nothing else, simply to use as notes for when you do create your course.

    I don’t often comment but when my wife and I saw your title and before we watched this episode we both bet each other on how likely your title was click bate. It seems sooner or latter many of the sailing vlogers have to say “we are sinking” or words along those lines. Like most other volger you didn’t nearly sink and you probably weren’t even taking on water. I think the content of you Vlogs are to good for you to rely on the cheep tricks.

    • @NavikaSailing
      @NavikaSailing  3 года назад

      True, we weren't taking on water - intention wasn't to be click baity but just how we felt at the time. Felt scary in the moment as you can imagine!

      @@NavikaSailing Thanks for your reply. Look, I don’t agree but that’s okay. My point was simply this. You content is quite good and at times really good so just be thoughtful about the small stuff and I am sure you will end up with one of the biggest channels in this space. Keep up the good work.
