- On Monday afternoon, we had a potential Tropical Cyclone One form. If this storm does earn a name, Alberto will be the first name on the list this year.

Tropical storms aren’t hurricanes, they are a type of tropical cyclone though. Hurricanes have minimum sustained wind requirements.
