- Hey! I'm back and I'm so excited for this project. This crochet tank top pattern is a blast from the past.
It's one of my earliest crochet video tutorials. It was one of those projects where I was just trying to get something posted and it turned out to be wildly popular (by my channels standards).
Since then, everyone has been asking for the written pattern and size adjustments for this crochet tank top. So, it was a bit of a monster to figure out but it's FINALLY done😂. Did I mention I'm terrible at math and English is my second language? Sometimes it's really tough to figure these out.

Notes:
This tank top is designed to be a loose fit
This tank top is made in two versions ( a cropped version and longer version)
This crochet pattern is made from the top down
In this tutorial I have demonstrated with size small ( Cropped version )
Gauge blocked :
2 pattern repeat ( 2 lace shell + 3 dc + 4 ch sp ) = 4"
7 rows = 4"
Yarn needed :
Size small the cropped version = 270 yards
Measurements ( After blocked ) : The length does not include the strap
Size small the cropped version : 7.48" lang
Size small the circumference : 52"

Anyone who can't figure out which is the wrong side and right side probably needs to go back to beginner crochet videos and then come back here. I just finished making this top and it's adorable. I wish I could add a photo. The tutorial was amazing, so easy to crochet along with. I’ve had this top in my library since the first video came out and I’m finally making it for spring/summer. It’s a beautiful and easy pattern to follow (you always do a fabulous job teaching). I’m older and a an XL so I’m going to add length to mine and see how it looks and hangs and if the yarn will drape correctly (Mandala) and I think it’ll work, I may try to keep it going to a dress length. I’ll super excited, halfway done with the top portion and if I can work it to a dress length, it’ll be my first dress. Thanks for your excellent tutorials and stay safe and healthy!💜🙏🤘🏿💜

This is such fun and functional teen-twenties wear. I will definitely make for my girls.
Being an adult, I cannot wear what I like to call holey-holey clothes (meaning mesh designs). I will try to adjust design to have less mesh and more lace shell pattern to fill the holes. haha. I am a very modest person but love fun fashion.

But I was kind of in between super fun young fashion and getting into a little more modest style. I still love the design though. One of my earliest ones.
