SOUND CLIP: Suffolk Transit Gillig Phantom 35TB102

Gillig Phantom 35TB102 #5091 was on the S92 and was heading towards Orient Point via Riverhead on Long Island.
These buses...I had my doubts. Now, I approve! LOL!!! Enjoy!!!

Yes she sure does sound she's L10 powered! Kinda sounds like MARTA's 1990 D35s and 40s and both were L10 powered too

Neither because she is powered with an M11 engine, but you are correct on Allison B400R part. The S60 is too big to fit in buses this size, although the M11 & S60 sounds some what alike the S60 has a more distinctive sound to it. The S50 on the other hand is the 4 cylinder version of it's brother the S60, and the S50 sounds even more distinctive and nothing at all like the M11
