  • We love wonton parties for real. We only do them once in a while but when we do it takes everything in us to not burn through the whole batch and just devour them as soon as we are done cooking.
Better than take-out out Dumplings (EASY)
    2/3 cup of hot water
    2 teaspoons of salt
1-2 inch knob of grated ginger (More or less your preference)
    1 teaspoon of ground pepper
    1 teaspoon of sugar
    1 pound of ground pork
    2 scallions
    4 cloves garlic
    2 eggs
    60-70 wonton wrappers (square)

I love making homemade dumplings, after I cook them in water I put them in a frying pan to crisp up the bottoms so it's more like a pot sticker. With that and some dang sauce omg it was almost like a spiritual awakening. Thanks for another great video. Bless you and your family. And as always stay safe.

this looks amazing a quite authentic .. a little suggestion for texture get yourself a can of water chestnuts drain and mince as fine as you can also for extra flavour and lots of texture try taking tiger prawns and devein and take the tail of then just cut them as small as you would desire and add the minced chestnuts to the actual mix but add 1 or 2 or maybe even 3 pieces of s prawns to each dumpling .. it is a game-changer ...a little more time consuming but well worth it .. you will thank me .. loved these brought me back to my Chinese restaurant days

Your dumplings are so perfectly made! Mine always look like Godzilla made them,..all squished and ugly! Have you ever pan fried them with couple tbsp water and covered on medium hi heat until the water is gone and bottom of dumplings are slightly crispy? Also yummy! Ollie? (sp) is so cute! My 90lb yellow lab is named Ollie/Oliver. 🙂

Yes! We love them that way. Usually like to get the pan hot when you put them in and then run them on low till steamed/cooked.
