This is so sad I wondered what swannanoa river road looked like. If it wasn’t for platforms on RUclips you’re not going to see the truth. Praying for all western nc
So sad man. We live in far south Asheville, almost Arden, and life feels pretty normal, but this being just a few miles away is heartbreaking. All those lives and livelihoods lost is just terrible. Thanks for documenting. We'll be back and we'll be stronger for it.
In 2020, my new husband and I got our first set of antique wood canisters at the Tobacco Barn. We loved just going and walking around seeing all the kool antiques. Gonna miss that place....
My prayers go out to all. Especially families still living in tents. It’s getting cold. Being from Appalachia were not gonna stop helping when & where the emergency need us. FEMA went FUBAR. I’m so sorry. Trump said “we’re gonna fix that” and we pray he does. Soon. Brrr. Gid bless you all. 🇺🇸
That is devastating to see! Im sorry for the people of North Carolina what you all went through and are still going through! Im from Kentucky and i and my grandson was there in Ashville 2 years ago and we went through that antique warehouse The Tabbacco Barn and loved it! And me and my husband was there about 8 years ago and went through it also! I pray you all get the help you need to rebuild your lives! God bless you.
I know this disaster is huge, but it still is unfathomable that they haven’t gotten the power lines off the road and hooked back up. Hasn’t the Governor called in the national guard to help? And if not, why not? This is a humanitarian EMERGENCY.
Before Helene hit, the river was hidden by bushes and trees so your before videos show only a nice road and businesses. Afterwards, we can see the river channel and all its devastation.
wow, just heartbreaking, wonder what people stole the antiques out of the tobacco barn, I used to love going there, I am so sad about your man made hurricane.
I'm from Asheville, where are you at buddy? Not from this region I'm guessing from the fact that you have no idea what's actually going on here. You are full of it, stop spreading disinformation from your orange cult leader.
Where's the local and state government they should be held accountable where's the federal government is the Travis do they give 20 billion blankets at the Ukraine a couple days ago 6,000 a month to illegal aliens but nothing for North Carolina flood victims
These people cry all day about the federal government. And when FEMA does step in, they cry about that too! Just wait for your orange boy to gut FEMA, then you’ll realize.
Strange they also dropped the ball in Hawaii and East Palestine. It's almost like they don't care. They can Send hundreds of billions of tax dollars to other countries though.
You're wrong. I'm right here in the middle of it. FEMA was here immediately and still is. I watched from my downtown church as the president, NC governor, and Avl mayor fly over Avl, surveying. Stop lying.
Be safe out there, folks. Please remember to protect yourselves from the toxic sludge out there. Sending prayers every single day . ❤
These poor people!! Yesterday the days before 😢!!! ❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏 I’m so sorry for your loss!!!!🙏🙏🙏🙏
This video really brings the damage home. 😮😢

Prayers continue 🕊🤲🏼
The people of these communities were strong before the flood.
They'll be strong after, although hurting.
Praying for their strength.
This is so sad I loved visiting the Asheville area...

I can’t help bursting into tears every time I see the devastation. Where are all these people going to find shelter this winter?
Be strong... God will help!

Sending love from Australia.
Awesome 🎉❤
I live in Sacramento California. Im so sorry. I hope and pray that all of the Government people will go to jail. They need to.
We’ve been to the tobacco barn, a huge loss there.

All the history is gone !😮
Didn’t they mock their state senator about immorality?
Praying for these Americans this is so sad our government won't help them but billions to illegals

Hope Trump can bring some justice to this sad situation
dont let the developers in

Could it possibly be due to ineptness of chaotic, deceptive politicians who may be in leadership?
I will never forget what happened to this beautiful region and its strong people!
YOU are the local government. You get what you give.
These people cry all day about the federal government. And when FEMA does step in, they cry about that too! Just wait for your orange boy to gut FEMA, then you’ll realize.
Asheville will continue to vote for dems.
Carbon credit score stops at nothing.
This looks like before the hurricane ~?
No shit!?! Did you even watch the video?
Seems. To just be a bunch of. Lazy troopers driving around in circles
JOE BIDEN AND FEMA DROPPED THE BALL.
Strange they also dropped the ball in Hawaii and East Palestine. It's almost like they don't care. They can Send hundreds of billions of tax dollars to other countries though.
Didn't drop it- they threw it down.
Because they didn't vote for them.

@@garrypeek897 Avl is blue. Buncombe Co voted strongly for Harris.
