  • i've attended all kinds of recording sessions with clients and friends. most are fairly monotonous affairs where recordings are played over and over again until the sound
is tweaked in a manner that sounds perfect to the artists. the 'double fantasy' sessions
were very different. it felt like a family affair with a minimum of guests or 'business'.
there was a very conscious sense of purpose. the studio was devoid of alcohol or substances. fresh sushi and tea was served. a large photo of sean was taped to the
monitor over the console. it was as if the people in the room knew that the record was
something of true significance to an audience that was anticipating it's arrival.

Wow!! Good memory recollection of listening to the 1980 demo tapes! Ur right we had to be there to listen and feel the message from John Lennon's Double Fantasy tapes! Great 👍 interview!

Wow so interesting. Maybe the tv on is something people that have abandonment issues have in common. My dad was killed when I was 8 and I always hate pure silence unless at a spa. I like the tv on for noise in the house. Unfortunately my husband likes dead silence. Thanks for the uploads Mr Elliot. 👍😀
