Both of my lines down there are disconnected and zipped tied out of the way. Bought it like that. This is the first video I’ve seen that gives me an idea of where the hell those lines go. It is freaking hot with no AC 😂
Sorry to hear that. Probably there was a leak so somebody didn't bother fixing it. It might be that you only need seals at the end of the lines. Thanks for watching the video
Thank you so much, My daughter & I are going to attempt to do it ourselves. I appreciate the fact you were patient & did a step by step in a way I can understand it. 😊
I bought a 86 Buick LeSabre had the coldest damn ac ever ...old timer I bought it from had a cooking thermometer in the middle vent .. she was big .. she was black ....she was cold.
Thanks. To do the leak test it would be best for a licensed mechanical shop to do it as they have all the equipment and it is part of the recharging system.
I just replaced both my radiator and a.c. condenser 1 year ago and replaced the dryer at the same time.. This time around by just replacing the condenser only and pulling a vacuum... How many 30z cans of pag46 oil do I need and how many cans of Freon for my 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan sxt 3.8L dual A/C
That is all you can do using this cheaper a/c recharge kits. To do the proper job vehicle has to go to the shop, system gets evacuated and then recharged using higher end equipment
It would be helpful if you showed how to check the guage. Car running? Can on or off? Why does the guage fluctuate. I started at 7 and then before the can was empty it said 75. The next day it was at 24?
If only the front A/C works (the rear A/C doesn't work at all) do I still need to turn the rear A/C on along with the front after I've connected the refrigerant can?
Hi. Yes both front and rear should be turned on and on max fan speed while charging the a/c. If only front works you might be low on refrigerant or possibly having problems with the rear blend door actuator. Also if you are not the first owner of the van make sure to check under the van if a/c lines were not cut and plugged up afterwards as that was the most common "fix" on this minivans

Yeah. I'm in the same boat, going to the auto store today to pick up a can and try to do it myself!!

Good luck and thank you for the comment
I'm not mechanicanical but I just recharged my ac before this video was over. Thanks so much! Great education! ❤❤
Glad to help :)
What should the pressure be?
You can buy a cooking thermometer and put it in the middle vent and see what the temperature is . 40 degrees is best

@@petermelnyk7664no lie my 86 LeSabre had the best AC of any vehicle I ever been in
Good video. For the 2005 GCV is there a good test to determine if there is a slow Freon leak?

Very helpful, thanks brother
No problem 👍
❤ thank you so much! And thank you for the disclaimer too
You're most welcome and thanks for watching

Very good, but why only chargering the low pressure side?

Thnx for the help, I have a can of dry charge would it be okay to put it in the system?
No problem. It has to be R134A or direct replacement once system is empty

Thanks for video . Just a question . Is there a sight glass to see the refrigerant flow ?
No problem and thanks for watching. No sight glass
