The majority of episodes are his inner narration. Netflix even released official compilations of Joe scenes without audio.

yalllll this is THE show. just a heads up though, it's weird as hell. like it has a great amount of sane/insane but there are just some weird ass people/characters in the show that will have you conflicted as hell on who you're rooting for. Joe's inner monologue is one of my favourite parts of the show I'm ngl, literally makes you oddly sympathise with his actions or almost justify them??? show does such a good job in confusing you and your morals fr
His role in gg is not a stalker he just posts on gg with the tips he gets to gg website that doesn’t mean he is a stalker they never show him stalking around people in that series but we can say he does crazy stuff for a girl
Penn Badgley is surprisingly good at playing a stalker in this series.
