The best Netflix original series in my view. It’s a wild ride but it’s superbly crafted. You certainly have to pay attention but it’s worth the effort. Also one of the best casts and music scores of recent years.

With the kind of viewing attitude these guys have, they'll get confused very soon. This is also taking into account the fact that the characters of the series have three different temporary hypostases. You need to watch the series and have a family tree with photos of the characters. When I watched the series for the first time, I almost got confused, and this is taking into account the fact that I watched very carefully and was not distracted

Dark is a roller coaster ride of a mind-boggling mind f**k.
The attention to detail is off the chart, and the sheer insanity is unlike anything I've ever seen on screen before. And clues and foreshadowing. Cues and foreshadowing everywhere. Layers upon layers.
The series is so expertly written and crafted that it needs its own category.

You just need to trust this show. You will have lot of questions that are not answered for several episodes or even in this season, but it will all make sense by the end of it, you will just have pay attention and remember it.

I'm so glad that I am german, made it was easier to enjoy this confusing (but great) show.
Some people have trouble keeping everything straight, so you might want to keep notes, especially if you are watching other shows in between these episodes. It's easy to forget things. There is, or at least there used to be, a website that kept track and you could go and look but I think you had to be careful of spoilers. I'm not sure, I've never gone to it, but I have seen other reactors use it. This show is a masterpiece. You will fall in love with it. Honestly, I have no idea how anyone is able to NOT binge watch this series. Excited to see your reactions and hear your thoughts.

This is my favorite show ever, closely followed by Attack on Titan. Something about Dark speaks to me
This series is very interesting and very confusing. It must be watched very carefully, if you lose the thread of the narrative, you will not understand anything.
It is a masterpiece, but you have to stop guessing, you're not gonna get for the time being. Just be focused, or you're gonna miss the details around which the whole show is built. One of my favourite shows ever.
I it okay to make guesses and assumption even if you decided to let it wash over you (as bo and Jantje once put it in an interview) but I think in a group reaction it is hard to follow the dialog and the visuals when also everyone keeps spitballing every 5 seconds... I would assume that this might solve itself around episode 3
I personally wouldn't say it's a masterpiece but I really enjoyed this one!! A really cool show

This show is decently complex and you may need a whiteboard or similar to keep track of character names and other info but it is well worth the watch especially if you take your time with it and enjoy making predictions. I will be waiting for you to finish season 1 so I can binge these reactions.

The first 5 episodes are slower because they have to introduce the characters and the environment, then it takes off

Netflix wanted this show to do more than three seasons and the directors refused because they didn’t want to add stuff that wasn’t important, and trust me they didn’t need to do more, it’s exactly what it’s supposed to be, I’ve been so excited for you guys to watch this and I’m glad you called out the soundtrack already cause it’s amazing lol can’t wait to get into it more and hear all of your theories and predictions!

The sound of German is around 100x better viewing experience. Not only is the dub bad, but the German is GORGEOUS. So many ear tingling voices in this show. You don't want to listen to some dork spewing their lines, you want to hear the gravely gravitas of German philosophers. Its pointless otherwise. Also the language just fits the atmosphere so well.
I'm somewhat sure the Eng dub was voiced by the German actors themselves? It was pure cancer. Sorry. So lucky to be fluent in German because wtf. The English version seemed hella unprofessional.

I've seen the dub actors appear in online comment sections. In the credits they're clearly different names.
I agree that it's surprisingly amateur sounding. But it's not inexperienced actors. I think they just didn't give this show a lot of budget or time so the actors didn't get to go deep into character. It's a shame. Katla also on netflix got the original actors, and that dub was surprisingly very good, that should be the standard for prestige TV.
I think first view is better in English. So they can focus on what’s going on. As this show has great rewatch value, second watch can be in German. But it depends how fast can they catch on.

People click one button to review an entire show. But to review the individual episodes takes more effort. So they're different numbers. But it's the no.1

This is one of the greatest shows ever created. An absolute masterpiece.
Also, you have to pay attention to every single detail, even if it seems like it’s not important, it is.
The show is only 3 seasons because it was planned from the very beginning to have that many. Most shows are written one season at a time but for this one, it would’ve been impossible to write it like that and so they had the entirety of the show planned out from the start. You’ll understand once you watch more of it but the writers are absolute madlads for somehow coming up with all of these concepts and then executing them and making it all make sense by the end.
