Maybe a long shot, but any chance you know how would I wire up a air compressor that has three capacitors? I have two runs and one start. This is an Ingersoll Rand 2475N7.5 2 stage compressor. 7.5hp.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! If you have any specific questions or if you'd like help with a video-related topic, feel free to ask, and I'll do my best to assist you.
The voltage value of running capacitor is high and the microfarad value is low. Because of the rms voltage, the capacitor which has a high voltage should be used as running capacitor. The voltage value of starting capacitor is low and the microfarad value is high.
Yes friend run capacitor connection curect. The centrifugal switch disconnects the starting capacitor after starting the motor. motor is then driven by a run capacitor.
I see that there is series connection between the running capacitor and the auxillary and main winding. Does the current passes through the auxillary winding? or no? if no, please explain @@ELTronic3
The values of the running capacitor and starting capacitor for a 1 horsepower (HP) motor can vary depending on the specific motor design and application. Typically, single-phase induction motors use capacitors for starting and running. For a 1 HP single-phase motor, the starting capacitor may have a value of around 80 to 150 microfarads (µF)(230V). This capacitor is used during motor startup to provide an initial boost to the starting torque. The running capacitor, on the other hand, is typically smaller and has a value between 5 to 30 µF(415V). This capacitor is used to improve the motor's power factor and overall efficiency during continuous operation. It's important to note that these values are approximate and should be confirmed based on the motor manufacturer's specifications, which can vary depending on factors such as motor design, voltage, and specific application requirements. It is always recommended to consult the motor's datasheet or contact the manufacturer for accurate information regarding the capacitor values for a specific 1 HP motor.

thanks your comment.. First identify the running winding / starting winding / common wire / centrifugal switch wire of the motor. Then connect the starting capacitor and running capacitor as shown in the video.
I know I need to swap red and black wires to change direction, what I don't know is what the hell I do with the cap since the red wire is going into both caps before the motor. Do I swap red before the caps or after right before it goes into the motor
Great tutorial. I had 3 electricians looking at this motor and none of them had a clue how to wire it up. Thank you so much.
videos am very happy to your comment..i all ways made good videos for you..🙏 ❤️
I will need to watch it a few times because this is new to me, but this is GREAT ! Thank you for this.

The main purpose of increasing the capacitors is to increase the value of the capacitors.
A higher value should be applied to the starting capacitor and a lower value to the run capacitor.
That was F'n excellent. Thank you.

Running capacitor 20/40/60uf-- 415V
Thanks a lot

Does the run capacitor wired correct? When motor runs, it bypass the run capacitor!

Actually starting winding is cut after start the motor, but in this it is always connected
Nice job. 💪 thank you...

for 5HP 3 phase motor to run single phase... how much MFD capacitor should i use for start and running?
A 50uf / 400v capacitor should be inserted between the two phases to supply two phases
Can I plug 4hp motor to an outlet?
If 230v ac, use 15A plug base and use 2.5 sq mm wire
Both capacitors will not short while starting?
The two capacitors are turned on together and then one capacitor is disconnected from the centrifugal switch.
👍👍✅
Good work
Thanks.😍
Nice work keep it up
