I'm a DA student... I was cracking up at the impressions part because the first time I ever got impressions was at school and that was literally me in the chair 🙈
I have a great trip, for you!!! When taking an impression, seat the tray from back to front, as so the impression material, will extend outwards, and not down the back of the throat... I did it, that way for year's and had great results, no gagging!! It was a much calmer/less stressing on the patient!!! I've never had a patient, gag that much!! Tell them to place their head's down, and to breathe through their nose, "if can", give them tissues!! I'm guessing thought, this had to be a joke though..!!!?
That last one I know has happened before b/c my old dentist spent about 15 minutes for every 6 month checkup. At my current dentist they used to have toothbrush key chains attached to the washroom keys for the ladies and men's washroom doors as they keep them locked One time a patient actually used the toothbrush key chain to brush his teeth while in the bathroom! True story. So then they switched to women and men placard symbols as key chains.
