Great review buddy, I have a few knives that I only used as tools rather than for the collection and I’m gonna get one of these for the knife draw or maybe my pocket 🤪. Have a good one 😎🐸👍.
Really good review focusing on not just the price but it's use case, function and who it is would suit. This sets you apart. I like it when you tap into your engineering knowledge.
You won't regret it - fantastic knife... once you get over the three stops - they do not need more than two, which I've suggested 6 months ago and improve the F&F a little and I'll give it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Good thorough review mate. It's a great knife - and it shows what a serious cutting tool you can carry within the constraints of our bonkers UK knife laws. I bought the S90V in DigiCamo a while ago and have been impressed with it in use. Still can't quite get my head around those three stops though! I reckon the F&F is a bit better on mine, although they appear to have updated the carry clip - yours has the logo whereas mine has the word MANLY. Now I don't know about you, but to me it's an unfortunate name - it might as well say BIGDICK. So I ditched the clip (Manly were kind enough to send me a spare blanking plate to fill in the space). I've since discovered that Manly is in fact the family name of the Bulgarian proprietor rather than an attempt at butch branding!
Great review, agree with you this is definitely a great working knife, the 3 stops bother some people, not me. S90v for the price is amazingly good value.♥️🔪
Once you get your head round the stops its pretty amazing for the price.Without doubt the sliciest blade ive ever had on any knife i owned in my life.I think the stiff opening just make you stop for a second before you use it and remind yourself mind your mitts,it realy is that sharp
Just a quick heads up,if you take this apart which i did today be prepared to do a lot of effing and jeffing when trying to reasemble it.I have habitualy taken knives apart for 30 plus years and have had a few that were,,,,challenging,,,to put back together. The wasps is on a new level of frustration due to the back spring being so tight, came very close to it going in the bin but perceviered and voila its back together, unfortunetly after polishing and oiling washers(which were filthy black btw)the action remains as stiff as ever.Heyho still loving that steel tho👍🙂
I hear that... I have taken things apart for maintenance or repairing & making good. However, I appreciate your insight as I haven't taken the wasp apart... yet? Thanks for the advice brother 👍✅
I’ve got the very affordable 12C27 iteration which has an amazing heat treat and in fact keeps a truly hair popping edge really well. It holds an edge much longer than most knives with this steel because of the heat treat they do. The only down on mine is the lack of a stop pin and it does get blade wrap which is a shame when the edge is so fine and good. I agree fit snd finish is rough and the 4 stage stops make opening and closing hard work. But it’s very very secure for a slip joint and I love the ergonomics. Mine only cost me under £30, in 2020. By the way, they DO actually have steel liners. It’s recessed within the G10 scale. It makes a perfect food prep blade because it’s so slicey and the drop point is amazing for skinning rabbits 🐇! So I agree. Ace for outdoors while being compact and uk legal. I carry mine in a small SAK belt pouch because the clip broke and caused a hot spot in my palm
Great review, your enthusiasm is evident which really makes a difference. Seems like a really nice practical knife - might have to pick this one up
I really appreciate your comment...👍
I am making another couple of videos this week and shall upload them at the weekend - I hope you enjoy them too ✅
