Part 3 of RC Project 6: Kahn Defender D110 / RC4WD Gelande 2 Limited Edition.
This part shows how I painted everything. I used Tamiya Surface Primer and Tamiya paints for hard plastic and lexan (full list below).
This is my first RC project with hard body, and it's not perfect, but I'm more than happy with the result! :-)
Unfortunately, I have a surgery planned for next week, so Part 4 will be probably ready in late October/early November. In Part 4 I will focus on putting everything together so stay tuned!
    Enjoy :-)

Hi, nice job, just a can of Tamya Primer and one of Tamiya Silver or as many as you need to complete the total body.

Hey. It was few years ago so I honestly don't remember, but most likely I had 2x primer and 2x silver for this project.

hey man, I'm just getting into painting a Tamiya 35 scale tank with TS cans. im gona be using TS-4 german grey. Tamiya has the same paint in the XF form. After i use the TS lacquer paint on my model and say i need to do a small touch up by brush can i use the XF over the TS paint? thank you for the reply.

It shouldn't be a problem, but you can always do a test on some unnecessary piece of plastic :-)

hey I've been doing research and seen on a Tamiya forum that quite a few people are complaining about the TS paints that after a month they crack. What could be done to avoid this or do you think the people did something wrong from the get-go? i Highly doubt the product is inferior coming from Tamiya, i suspect the idiots using the paints did something foolish.

Hey. Hm, I don't know - maybe they did something wrong... I never had any problems with Tamiya paints and I'm using them probably since 6-7 years.
