What makes this even more tragic is that you get the sense that Obi-Wan legitimately wants to help Anakin, but the Jedi Order has made him so emotionally aloof that he doesn't know how to say it.
Obi wan is more aloof than Anakin in his way of thinking. Even more while he had feelings he never crossed the line so while he's talking he can't understand Anakin's feeling. Just emulate them. Worse were Yoda's advices. Just telling him to let her die so he can focus back on the Jedi. Anakin was lost because of the jedi. Their distrust and misgivings rushed his fall to the dark side and their bad advices continuously pushed him deeper despite his struggles to grab the cliff.

Exactly. The reason Anakins Fall in Revenge of the Sith wasn't effective was because we didn't see the man Obi-Wan described in A New Hope. We saw a whiny, arrogant asshole instead of a hero people looked up to and admired.

Anakin was the chosen one . The one Strongest Being in the Galaxy MEANT to bring balance . He was never intended to be good or evil. He destroyed the Jedi since we are told that the Light was overwhelming in contrast to the dark side . He then destroyed the Sith effectively bringing the once true balance by pacifying both sides , as a Sith . Anakin had to become both , he had to experience both sides before meeting his destiny . I doubt I have ever seen a more well written character in any media . What a legend

He also practically raised Anakin since he was 10. Obi Wan is 15 years older. Granted they had a more brotherly bond than a father son one but still. But for all of Obi Wan's good and love for Anakin, he was very obedient to the council, and even got into fights with Qui Gon about his refusal to do things the council's way when he was a padawan. Anakin knew this, so that probably contributed into why he didn't think he could tell Obi Wan. He was likely scared that Obi Wan would've told the council.
The thing is, Anakin isn’t ready to hear everything, because he’s too emotional. Emotions aren’t bad, but his are too strong and they affect his judgement. Yoda explained it perfectly, he’s a strong and unpredictable Jedi but he can be dangerous to those around him, friends and enemies alike. There’s no doubting his integrity as a Jedi Knight, that much is absolute, many would gladly trust him with their lives, but he could even derail plans by acting rash and being headstrong. Anakin never learned the methods of the Jedi to remain calm and rational and the like because of when the Clone Wars began, not giving Anakin a chance to continue much of his training. Don’t forget that this is the same war meant to end with the Jedi destroyed and the Republic twisted into the Empire. Sidious counted on Anakin’s emotions, prodding his insecurities and fears until he sits in the palm of his hand.
In the end, Anakin let the Sith destroy the Jedi, and then destroyed the Sith. In doing that, he cleared the slate, and restored the balance. Not through balancing, but through burning everything to ashes. ... (and then Disney retconned it)

just realized that in the mortis arc the daughter is killed, then the father, then the son. Just like anakin would later do so. The light is lost with Vader killing the jedi. Balance is lost because of the tyrany of the sith and empire so darkness was then destroyed by anakin. Brilliant

Balance can't exist with the current setup of Jedi and Sith etc. One set of people using one side of the force and trying to kill off the other side is not balance. Anakin's prophecy was that he would bring balance to the force. He did. He destroyed the various embodiments of the different sides of the force, then destroyed the jedi who only believed in the light side of the force, and then a couple decades later, went on to destroy the sith, who only believed in the dark side of the force. So none of the extremists force users survived. Really, the Grey Jedi have it right. The mixture of Dark and Light is what balance means, not rejecting one or the other. Just because its the 'Light' side, doesn't mean that it's in balance if the dark is destroyed.

Plagueis himself says Anakin was created to destroy the Sith as retaliation for Plagueis trying to control the force. Ahsoka's trial shows just how much the Jedi have become slaves to the Chancellor and the Republic. What Anakin says is true, the Council did turn their back on her, all except him. I would have liked to see a Jedi Civil war with Anakin, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan (who says "We need to stand together with Ahsoka") and Plo Koon (who brought her to the Jedi Temple) vs the rest of the Council
This explains why Anakin developed so much hatred for the Council and destroyed the Temple with all Jedi, even younglins. That's the reason Count Dooku turned too.

What some people don't get is George Lucas created a very tragic story that may align with some of the narrative styles in greek tragedy. In my opinion, when you look at star wars with a certain perspective, this is an epic tragedy that rivals Oedipus
One of the biggest weaknesses of the Jedi were their teachings solely of the light side and how to suppress emotions. Preventing them being taught all aspects of the Force limited their powers, understanding, and defence against the dark side. By burying emotions, they become uncontrollable when they manifest in an unexpected moment without any way of knowing how to keep them contained again like a broken cage, causing a fall to the dark side. By studying the Dark Side while judicially choosing the Light, the Jedi could have understood The Force in such a way that the Sith would have no advantage over them. The Sith tended to have the element of surprise with their powers like when Count Dooku used Force Lightning on Anakin who was a stranger to dark side attacks. This was all due to the Jedi Council suppressing the knowledge of the Dark Side. You can't defend against what you don't know.
I love them. James Arnold Taylor and many other voiced characters in Battlefront 2 who later voiced characters in TCW. When I hear Obi Wan for the first time in TCW movie, I was like, that's the same guy who voices him in BF2.
No der... literally the only way Sidious was able to get Anakin to turn was through his wanting to protect Padme. Ahsoka probably wouldn't have been able to do much; she would've been destroyed by Anakin. She already was having a hard time against post-Mustafar Anakin, but against pre-Mustufar Anakin when he was still immersed in the Dark Side AND had his entire body? She'd have been slaughtered within 2 minutes
Silvercrusher I don't know about that. Maybe if we're talking about TCW. But Vader's strikes became much more aggressive and deadly in the suit. Literally the only draw back is that he can't do the same flips and tricks.
@Reflex but the problem is he can't strike as fast, and raw power means nothing if you can't hit your opponent. You can see the difference between TCW Anakain and Vader. TCW could do a massive volley of strikes, kicks, flips, and essentially create a river of force that raged against his opponents. Additionally he could fluidly use the force while attacking to create an ultimately deadly style. This is in comparison to Vader, who usually will do a small combo that would crush an opponent should they attempt to block, but against an opponent who's acrobatic? He'd have an insanely hard time. Additionally, Vader is powerful because of his connection to the dark side. Think about what Anakain, infused with both the dark side AND his organic body, could do.
Silvercrusher True i guess. Anakin with his physical body intact would probably be damn near Sidious levels. But Vader is still much more powerful than light side Anakin and what he lacks in organic speed, he makes up for through the Force. I still think, realistically, Vader should have slaughtered Ahsoka. He's done it to countless other Jedi Masters with years of more experience than her.

My reasons on why anakin joined the darkside as Darth Vader 1.) The Jedi Council heolding back his potential/jedi council not trusting him/not taking him seriously 2.) The Jedi Council forbidding love 3.) Ahsoka leaving the jedi order because of a crime she didn't even commit 4.) he wanted his mother to be protected, but it was the complete opposite 5.) The Jedi Council didn't grant him the rank of Master, despite his accomplishments during the Clone Wars 6.) mace windu betraying the jedi's teachings when palpatine seemed to be defeated 7.) his failure to save his mother from the sand people 8.) his lust to save his loved ones from dying 9.) fearing that Padme would die during childbirth 10.) the fact that the jedi council wanted him to spy on the chancellor which he was close to
5 was honestly the straw that broke the camel's back, IMO. Such an enormous slap in the face after everything Anakin had done up to that point. He probably put in more work than some of the masters on that council before he was even an adult. I'd wager, due to the disappearance of the sith, most of those masters probably didn't even have a lightsaber duel under their belts while Anakin had several by the time he was assigned to the council. I mean seriously, who else on the council was tested as hard as he was? Maybe Yoda and Obi-Wan at most.
Dont forget Palpatine's manipulation which was a part of it the whole time. He's a huge part of the reason the council didn't welcome Anakin or grant him the rank of Master. Palpatine forced Anakin onto the council specifically to sow distrust. It's also implied that he's also the one that gave Anakin the visions of Padme dying.

so far star wars is not ruined. star wars is intact it is not kid friendly as you claim it to be. star wars rebels is a show that is meant to everyone and has elements of the original trilogy being light hearted while at the same time having some dark elements too. and marvel was kept intact when Disney brought it and it still act pretty much how it used to. and just to let you know is that lucasfilm does all the work not Disney. Disney just supports their subsidiaries by giving them funds and stuff that's it. and the reason that clone wars was cancelled simply because warner bros would not let them have there number 1 one show get taken away from them and own the distribution rights to the show . as a result it was forced to be cancelled. and I'm out now and I hope you understand
I wonder if Luke will also be a "Chosen One" in the new trilogy. Luke has said in the Last Jedi trailer that it's time for the Jedi to end, indicating that he believes their ways to be flawed. The Jedi believed that the light side alone was balance, and that the dark side was a disruption, so to them, destroying the Sith = bring balance to the Force. If Luke is going to set up a new order, one that takes the best of both worlds, it will be him to truly bring balance to the Force, rather than Anakin.

It’s so dumb how everyone around Anakin sensed his deep anger, knew he was reckless and dangerous, and driven by his emotions; and yet they didn’t intervene 🙄 they all basically told him to just man up until one day he exploded and shot up the school.
I really loved this show. it really cemented just how much Obi-wan understood Anakin and where he was coming from, and why having to fight him in RotS hurt so badly.
It was the reason he remained there, though. If she had survived, she might have been able to convince him to return to the light side. Anakin valued his family above all else, even as Vader.
UltimateSpinDash Yea but he became obssessed with controling things. Like Padmes life and he wanted to control the galaxy (for a good cause, but would've left no one have a choice in anything). And Sidious offered him that , so he took that offer, to try and save Padme (ending up unintentionally killing her) and to control the galaxy .
This is really well done, it reminds me of how the ROTS novelization fills in the gaps and provides more fleshing out of Anakins fall in the movie, if the council was not so arrogant and rigid, maybe his fall could’ve been prevented
Imagine watching all the movies and tv series in chronological order for the first time. These scenes would intrigue you, but would probably be in the back of your mind by the time you get to the part where thy actually happen in the movies. Then it would all hit you at once.
Never forget as you watch the clone wars, the Jedi are wrong to follow the republic and they are wrong to act as generals. None of this would have happened if qui gon was alive.
It very much would still have happened, just with more protest from Qui-Gon and those he inspired. Even in Episode I, it is made pretty clear that the council doesn't listen to his opinions very often.
Every time in the clone wars that anakin says that he will never turn to the dark side (there are a few times at least) just breaks my heart because i know that eventually he does. Even though he was convinced that he never would, at least not willingly

No one needed TCW dump because Anakin's turn was easily shown in MOVIES ONLY TCW just stretched story to ways it was never needed. TCW are lore destroyer. Only Clone Wars 2003 are real clone wars that fit into universe of movies because TCW 2008 are like different timeline since they contradict expanded stuff to much. prequels have such huge scope of universe and no other franchise came close. Actions taken on Coruscant were felt across galaxy and Anakin journey into darkness step by step was awesome He was kid who looked on Jedi as heroes, wanted to become jedi to save him mother and others from slavery. after time he become arrogant because he was better than other students, tortured by dreams about his mother, want to see what is happening with her and Obi Wan tell him dreams pass in times, When he got his first assignment still is tortured by dreams but he put duty first until he cant take anymore and went to see what is wrong with his mother, try to save her, she died and he killed her captors, swear that he won't fail again on grave of his mother, arrogant again and was fried by lighting and lost an arm from duel with Dooku, prideful my power are doubled since we met, use anger and kill Dooku, still save Obi wan, he learn that will become father which is problem for Jedi, tortured by dreams of his wife death, ask jedi about visions and they tell him to be happy that others die miss them do not mourn them do not. Palpatine masterfully control Anakin and make that Jedi humiliate him by not giving him rank of master, Anakin and Jedi council are moving far from each other. Jedi Council ask that he spy Palpatine before they even knew he was Sith which make Jedi bad and power hungry that want to control and are no different then Sith. Palpatine reveal himself to Anakin and promise him that he can help him save his wife Padme. Anakin in shock that his fatherfigure is sith went to seek Jedi but realize that they are no different and when came into Palpatine office, Windu wants to kill Palpatine and only Anakin say that's not Jedi way and Windu answer same as palpatine did after Dooku died which confirmed for Anakin that Jedi are no different from Siths so he cut windu hand and Palpatine fried windu. After being part of killing leading member of jedi council, life he knew was over and only side he have is with Palpatine. To become more powerful to learn dark side to use it like Plageous, he must do dark deeds so he Purged Jedi from temple. After that he went to destroy separatists and he brought peace to the galaxy. After that he had time to reflect on his actions but he has gone too far and choice he made is permanent. Padme hears what happened and want check for herself so she went on mustafar and Obi Wan secretly boarded and after Anakin saw her, she wanted to leave but he wanted to stay because they don't have to run anymore and he still didn't learn what he need to save her, After that Obi Wan appear, he thought that Padme brought Obi Wan to kill him so he force choke her feeling betrayed and only because of arrogance he lost against Obi Wan. Awesome and unique story of Anakin Skywalker. And that was mostly two movies because TPM was mostly Qui Gon and obi Wan movie.

This show is amazing. It totally filled the gap in Anakin's character development as well as the one in so many other characters. We saw these people evolve through seven amazing seasons. Just think of Ahsoka in the movie vs Ahsoka in the finale. She grew so much as a person. And so did Obi-Wan. And so did Anakin, which makes his turn to the dark side even more tragic.
I seriously love the idea of Anakin being a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde character, during the clone wars and just like the tragedy of Jekyll, Hyde destroyed him and turned him into a monster.
5 different people had many oppurtunites to prevent Anakin's fall mace yoda obi wan ahsoka and padme all of them had multiple opportunities to prevent Anakin's fall but none did
i ultimately blame obiwan, in the book its revealed that anakin wanted to run away with padme to naboo, but then obiwan showed up, obiwan tricked padme so he could reach anakin and this convinced him that she set him up, and that she left him
The only three women anakin ever loved died/left him. He watched his mom die in his arms, he watched his wife suffering in a vision, and watched his padawan/sister figure walk out of his life. He definitely went through a lot of heartache.
Hello. Yes, it is from the story reels of season 7. Anakin accidently mentions her, then question how she could have left the order. And then plays the part which I used, Obi-Wan tells him it was her choice and Anakin blames the council. Btw. I watched some of your videos and you have cool voice :)
Brother this is the greatest Star Wars medium ever. You will find out more and given more context and Easter eggs especially a look into Obi Wan and Anakin's relationship like none other. It adds so much more to the prequels than anything else and it makes them 1,000,000% better and more relevant
Haha i usually hate these things and find them extremely try hard and cheesy, and that goes with anything, movies, tv shows, sports, but this was awesome, and it was made from a cgi-cartoon. Of course I do love Star Wars a lot. Great editing, I wish there were more episodes of the clone wars :( anakin was so badass in it compared to the movies, he was alright in the movies but in this show he really comes into his own (ala Huey Lewis and the news in '83)
but ppl knew to understand that the movies take place in certain parts of his life so they need to stop comparing ep 2 was when he was a padwan and struggling with life under the order TCW is 3 years later he matured in the war and the changes are shown as the conflict start ep 3 shows that the conflict in anakin ( the mix of the effects of the war plus the manipulation by sidious (palpatine) and increase distaste for his order)is growing to the point windu and sidious both coud sense it and the conflict is heading a boiling point with vision of pademe's death and his struggle to save her .
I always loved the prequels as a kid as they were the Star Wars films I grew up with. But I acknowledge that 6 hours isn’t enough time to give total development for 13 years worth of character progression, especially the last 3. Clone Wars did such a good job at making Anakin’s turn feel much more set up. And now that we’ve gotten other shows doing the same for the other films and characters, it’s brilliant.

I always figured Obi-Wan knew about them, so I’ll bet it hurt him a bit that his own student and best friend didn’t trust him enough to say anything.
He also practically raised Anakin since he was 10. Obi Wan is 15 years older. Granted they had a more brotherly bond than a father son one but still.
But for all of Obi Wan's good and love for Anakin, he was very obedient to the council, and even got into fights with Qui Gon about his refusal to do things the council's way when he was a padawan. Anakin knew this, so that probably contributed into why he didn't think he could tell Obi Wan. He was likely scared that Obi Wan would've told the council.

The thing is, Anakin isn’t ready to hear everything, because he’s too emotional. Emotions aren’t bad, but his are too strong and they affect his judgement. Yoda explained it perfectly, he’s a strong and unpredictable Jedi but he can be dangerous to those around him, friends and enemies alike. There’s no doubting his integrity as a Jedi Knight, that much is absolute, many would gladly trust him with their lives, but he could even derail plans by acting rash and being headstrong. Anakin never learned the methods of the Jedi to remain calm and rational and the like because of when the Clone Wars began, not giving Anakin a chance to continue much of his training. Don’t forget that this is the same war meant to end with the Jedi destroyed and the Republic twisted into the Empire. Sidious counted on Anakin’s emotions, prodding his insecurities and fears until he sits in the palm of his hand.

Balance can't exist with the current setup of Jedi and Sith etc. One set of people using one side of the force and trying to kill off the other side is not balance. Anakin's prophecy was that he would bring balance to the force. He did. He destroyed the various embodiments of the different sides of the force, then destroyed the jedi who only believed in the light side of the force, and then a couple decades later, went on to destroy the sith, who only believed in the dark side of the force. So none of the extremists force users survived.
Really, the Grey Jedi have it right. The mixture of Dark and Light is what balance means, not rejecting one or the other. Just because its the 'Light' side, doesn't mean that it's in balance if the dark is destroyed.

Ahsoka's trial shows just how much the Jedi have become slaves to the Chancellor and the Republic. What Anakin says is true, the Council did turn their back on her, all except him. I would have liked to see a Jedi Civil war with Anakin, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan (who says "We need to stand together with Ahsoka") and Plo Koon (who brought her to the Jedi Temple) vs the rest of the Council

One of the biggest weaknesses of the Jedi were their teachings solely of the light side and how to suppress emotions. Preventing them being taught all aspects of the Force limited their powers, understanding, and defence against the dark side. By burying emotions, they become uncontrollable when they manifest in an unexpected moment without any way of knowing how to keep them contained again like a broken cage, causing a fall to the dark side. By studying the Dark Side while judicially choosing the Light, the Jedi could have understood The Force in such a way that the Sith would have no advantage over them. The Sith tended to have the element of surprise with their powers like when Count Dooku used Force Lightning on Anakin who was a stranger to dark side attacks. This was all due to the Jedi Council suppressing the knowledge of the Dark Side. You can't defend against what you don't know.

No der... literally the only way Sidious was able to get Anakin to turn was through his wanting to protect Padme. Ahsoka probably wouldn't have been able to do much; she would've been destroyed by Anakin. She already was having a hard time against post-Mustafar Anakin, but against pre-Mustufar Anakin when he was still immersed in the Dark Side AND had his entire body? She'd have been slaughtered within 2 minutes
Silvercrusher I don't know about that. Maybe if we're talking about TCW. But Vader's strikes became much more aggressive and deadly in the suit. Literally the only draw back is that he can't do the same flips and tricks.
@Reflex but the problem is he can't strike as fast, and raw power means nothing if you can't hit your opponent. You can see the difference between TCW Anakain and Vader. TCW could do a massive volley of strikes, kicks, flips, and essentially create a river of force that raged against his opponents. Additionally he could fluidly use the force while attacking to create an ultimately deadly style. This is in comparison to Vader, who usually will do a small combo that would crush an opponent should they attempt to block, but against an opponent who's acrobatic? He'd have an insanely hard time.
Additionally, Vader is powerful because of his connection to the dark side. Think about what Anakain, infused with both the dark side AND his organic body, could do.

But Vader is still much more powerful than light side Anakin and what he lacks in organic speed, he makes up for through the Force. I still think, realistically, Vader should have slaughtered Ahsoka. He's done it to countless other Jedi Masters with years of more experience than her.

My reasons on why anakin joined the darkside as Darth Vader
1.) The Jedi Council heolding back his potential/jedi council not trusting him/not taking him seriously
2.) The Jedi Council forbidding love
3.) Ahsoka leaving the jedi order because of a crime she didn't even commit
4.) he wanted his mother to be protected, but it was the complete opposite
5.) The Jedi Council didn't grant him the rank of Master, despite his accomplishments during the Clone Wars
6.) mace windu betraying the jedi's teachings when palpatine seemed to be defeated
7.) his failure to save his mother from the sand people
8.) his lust to save his loved ones from dying
9.) fearing that Padme would die during childbirth
10.) the fact that the jedi council wanted him to spy on the chancellor which he was close to
5 was honestly the straw that broke the camel's back, IMO. Such an enormous slap in the face after everything Anakin had done up to that point. He probably put in more work than some of the masters on that council before he was even an adult. I'd wager, due to the disappearance of the sith, most of those masters probably didn't even have a lightsaber duel under their belts while Anakin had several by the time he was assigned to the council. I mean seriously, who else on the council was tested as hard as he was? Maybe Yoda and Obi-Wan at most.

Dont forget Palpatine's manipulation which was a part of it the whole time. He's a huge part of the reason the council didn't welcome Anakin or grant him the rank of Master. Palpatine forced Anakin onto the council specifically to sow distrust. It's also implied that he's also the one that gave Anakin the visions of Padme dying.

Luke has said in the Last Jedi trailer that it's time for the Jedi to end, indicating that he believes their ways to be flawed. The Jedi believed that the light side alone was balance, and that the dark side was a disruption, so to them, destroying the Sith = bring balance to the Force. If Luke is going to set up a new order, one that takes the best of both worlds, it will be him to truly bring balance to the Force, rather than Anakin.
Well, he did level the Jedi to Sith ratio to be fair, effectively bringing balance to the force there.

This is really well done, it reminds me of how the ROTS novelization fills in the gaps and provides more fleshing out of Anakins fall in the movie, if the council was not so arrogant and rigid, maybe his fall could’ve been prevented
Imagine watching all the movies and tv series in chronological order for the first time. These scenes would intrigue you, but would probably be in the back of your mind by the time you get to the part where thy actually happen in the movies. Then it would all hit you at once.

It very much would still have happened, just with more protest from Qui-Gon and those he inspired. Even in Episode I, it is made pretty clear that the council doesn't listen to his opinions very often.

The clone wars fills in personality gaps that the prequel films didn’t deliver on
No one needed TCW dump because Anakin's turn was easily shown in MOVIES ONLY
TCW just stretched story to ways it was never needed.
TCW are lore destroyer. Only Clone Wars 2003 are real clone wars that fit into universe of movies because TCW 2008 are like different timeline since they contradict expanded stuff to much.

Actions taken on Coruscant were felt across galaxy and Anakin journey into darkness step by step was awesome He was kid who looked on Jedi as heroes, wanted to become jedi to save him mother and others from slavery. after time he become arrogant because he was better than other students, tortured by dreams about his mother, want to see what is happening with her and Obi Wan tell him dreams pass in times, When he got his first assignment still is tortured by dreams but he put duty first until he cant take anymore and went to see what is wrong with his mother, try to save her, she died and he killed her captors, swear that he won't fail again on grave of his mother, arrogant again and was fried by lighting and lost an arm from duel with Dooku, prideful my power are doubled since we met, use anger and kill Dooku, still save Obi wan, he learn that will become father which is problem for Jedi, tortured by dreams of his wife death, ask jedi about visions and they tell him to be happy that others die miss them do not mourn them do not. Palpatine masterfully control Anakin and make that Jedi humiliate him by not giving him rank of master, Anakin and Jedi council are moving far from each other. Jedi Council ask that he spy Palpatine before they even knew he was Sith which make Jedi bad and power hungry that want to control and are no different then Sith. Palpatine reveal himself to Anakin and promise him that he can help him save his wife Padme. Anakin in shock that his fatherfigure is sith went to seek Jedi but realize that they are no different and when came into Palpatine office, Windu wants to kill Palpatine and only Anakin say that's not Jedi way and Windu answer same as palpatine did after Dooku died which confirmed for Anakin that Jedi are no different from Siths so he cut windu hand and Palpatine fried windu. After being part of killing leading member of jedi council, life he knew was over and only side he have is with Palpatine. To become more powerful to learn dark side to use it like Plageous, he must do dark deeds so he Purged Jedi from temple. After that he went to destroy separatists and he brought peace to the galaxy. After that he had time to reflect on his actions but he has gone too far and choice he made is permanent. Padme hears what happened and want check for herself so she went on mustafar and Obi Wan secretly boarded and after Anakin saw her, she wanted to leave but he wanted to stay because they don't have to run anymore and he still didn't learn what he need to save her, After that Obi Wan appear, he thought that Padme brought Obi Wan to kill him so he force choke her feeling betrayed and only because of arrogance he lost against Obi Wan.
Awesome and unique story of Anakin Skywalker. And that was mostly two movies because TPM was mostly Qui Gon and obi Wan movie.

I miss the clone wars so much
This show is amazing. It totally filled the gap in Anakin's character development as well as the one in so many other characters. We saw these people evolve through seven amazing seasons. Just think of Ahsoka in the movie vs Ahsoka in the finale. She grew so much as a person. And so did Obi-Wan. And so did Anakin, which makes his turn to the dark side even more tragic.

5 different people had many oppurtunites to prevent Anakin's fall mace yoda obi wan ahsoka and padme all of them had multiple opportunities to prevent Anakin's fall but none did
i ultimately blame obiwan, in the book its revealed that anakin wanted to run away with padme to naboo, but then obiwan showed up, obiwan tricked padme so he could reach anakin and this convinced him that she set him up, and that she left him
The only three women anakin ever loved died/left him. He watched his mom die in his arms, he watched his wife suffering in a vision, and watched his padawan/sister figure walk out of his life. He definitely went through a lot of heartache.

Brother this is the greatest Star Wars medium ever. You will find out more and given more context and Easter eggs especially a look into Obi Wan and Anakin's relationship like none other. It adds so much more to the prequels than anything else and it makes them 1,000,000% better and more relevant
Haha i usually hate these things and find them extremely try hard and cheesy, and that goes with anything, movies, tv shows, sports, but this was awesome, and it was made from a cgi-cartoon. Of course I do love Star Wars a lot. Great editing, I wish there were more episodes of the clone wars :( anakin was so badass in it compared to the movies, he was alright in the movies but in this show he really comes into his own (ala Huey Lewis and the news in '83)

ep 2 was when he was a padwan and struggling with life under the order TCW is 3 years later he matured in the war and the changes are shown as the conflict start ep 3 shows that the conflict in anakin ( the mix of the effects of the war plus the manipulation by sidious (palpatine) and increase distaste for his order)is growing to the point windu and sidious both coud sense it and the conflict is heading a boiling point with vision of pademe's death and his struggle to save her .

I always loved the prequels as a kid as they were the Star Wars films I grew up with. But I acknowledge that 6 hours isn’t enough time to give total development for 13 years worth of character progression, especially the last 3. Clone Wars did such a good job at making Anakin’s turn feel much more set up. And now that we’ve gotten other shows doing the same for the other films and characters, it’s brilliant.
