The "English" trailer is the same as the Japanese trailer for the Nintendo Direct E3 2021, just without the limited edition blurb (look up "Nintendo 公式チャンネル" ). I guess Atlus was asked by Nintendo to make a more mainstream-friendly version.

SMT IV is hands down one of my favorite soundtracks of all time. I'm so trilled to experience the sounds of V!

I'm glad that Meguro's supervision didn't turn it into something "Persona like". Both did a fantastic work!

I don’t want to sound sexist, but I would have preferred a male voice over instead due to the more serious tone this game emits when looking at the environments and soundtrack.
@@kaidene573 Yeah, with the focus on "you're a Japanese high school student who falls into another dimension!" in the voice over, it just sounded like any other generic JRPG. If I didn't already know what it was, I would have been very unimpressed.

@@beez2673 well this is also a PV, which is slightly different than a trailer. This is specifically meant to be as an ad and stuff like that rather than a trailer which is more of just showing stuff to people who already know what this is.
I am so glad that Kozuka Ryota came back to do this soundtrack. I love Meguro’s work, but SMT4 had an amazing cyberpunk vibe to a lot of its music

There are many opinions on the reaction of the Japanese who watched the main character's PV this time.
・ The hero is very cool.
・ The hair of the hero who turned into a devil is too long.
・The sword equipped by the main character is like a Star Wars lightsaber.

映像を見る限り、想像を遥かに超えるクオリティに、惹きつけられる主人公のビジュアル。
ただかなりヒロイックな雰囲気も感じるので、しっかり「メガテン」しているか不安ではある。
それでも遥かに期待の方が大きい。

To be honest, this games whole open world concept came from how Nocturne was originally supposed to be designed. However the hardware at the time couldn't handle it so they scraped the idea for this very moment. So in a way it IS Nocturne as originally intended.

While I didn’t like the ENG, I understand not many people have played Shin Megami Tensei. Heck I barely started Nocturne because I wanted to play it and the Switch got it. I don’t think many people realize that Shin Megami Tensei was never really popular with the Western audiences, so of course we would get the more intro one and this one being an exclusive in Japanese that wasn’t even in Japan’s Nintendo direct.
so this is the engine that will carry forward the next entries in the coming years looks very good.
Unreal 5 Shin Megami Tensei will be god tier
@@jojomicheldu59 idk if that's how game development works lol, just using a new engine doesn't immediately make the graphics stat go up by 30 or something. Plus here you can see while the game's art direction is incredibly strong the switch can barely handle it
@@jojomicheldu59 that's not how game development works lol, it's like that in the demo because epic themselves optimised it and shit. Your average schmuck who makes some nintendo hire this man mario shit or a small japanese dev team who've already struggled for 4 years getting used to UE4 (it seems now because it could barely run on switch looking at the CoS animations) aren't gonna reproduce those results by copypasting the assets into a new engine.
It could maybe look like that but it's not as simple as 'put it in UE5', there's lots of intermediary steps I would expect
Personally don't like the generic UE4 lighting they used... Could've been a bit more anime like. In certain scenes, it feels like they put in an anime character to a semi realistic environment. Overall, not bad though, probably gonna get used to it
@@a_brodo3158 Also, UE5 doesn't even support the Switch. And while it could make development smoother, given support is one day added, actually taking advantage of its visual features would make the next SMT game impossible to run on the Switch.
