    Ok, am I alone in missing ALL of these my first playthrough? Which ones did you already know about, and which ones were new for you??

      I just finished the LIS heatwaves book and is it ever explained how long alex powers last on someone? Charlotte's anger was taken away and left in zombie mode but alex was like ok let's go to a larp at the end. I was confused and disturbed, plus it made alex out to be irresponsible and not someone i could root for. So do the emotions come back, does it lobotomize someone. I was left with questions.

    Not necessarily spooky, but on my first playthrough, I didn't instantly try to talk to Gwen, I walked past her without acknowledging her existence, and she initiated the conversation by force.

      Ya... She's definitely not happy when ignored! lol

      I did that too- in my defence I wanted to fully scope out the area on the other side of Gwen first 😅

    Just realised! When you pick the mug at the start it says “this action will have consequences”, and now it’s ended up inside a tree? Peculiar
    Also, Maya Okada, Safi’s friend whose death was also ruled as suicide by police wrote the book and had the memorial about cherry blossom trees on the bench, but Moses had a cherry blossom bracelet and that’s how Safi and Moses met!

    Another W for you. I never saw the mug!!! Have you noticed the gnomes hidden around? I’ve seen One by maxs car. Another in the library. And one in the rafters of the turtle! I think they are just Easter eggs… maybe

    • @PlayingWithHeart
      @PlayingWithHeart  3 месяца назад +5

      Yess... saw those too and equally as perplexed. Maybe Elenor's garden gnomes... ooooh spooky!! lol

      I'm guessing these are for a future achievement, I'm guessing you also eventually get achievements for undoing all the pranks like the flipped paintings and the mustaches.

    And also when you’re going to the admin building before you go go to the bench by the pond in front of the statue and there’s a little lotus folding paper you can unfold it

    I’m replaying with the things you mentioned here, and while max doesn’t add the candy to the evidence, she surprisingly adds the mug photo to the evidence!

      Yesss!!! So strange!! I guess we'll find out why when we finish the game (I hope so)

    I feel like the only thing you need to do to gain Gwen’s trust is to accept her hug, grab her book from that display case, answer Loretta’s questions rather than calling her bluff, stand with Gwen rather than save the footage, and ask her if she heard about Safi’s book rather than why she killed Safi’s book deal

    • @PlayingWithHeart
      @PlayingWithHeart  3 месяца назад +3

      True-ish. The point system seems appears to be a bit more nuanced related to this text though. I have to wait for the full game to release to see what else it affects so I can figure out the full scale of how it works.

    • @Blazingstoke
      @Blazingstoke 3 месяца назад +5

      I called Loretta's bluff but still had Gwen's trust in the Living timeline - thus I got the spooky text.

    • @PlayingWithHeart
      @PlayingWithHeart  3 месяца назад +2

      Exactly! It's a point system and based on a combination of various choices and timelines (I believe since I haven't finished testing), you can get the Text in many scenarios.

    Hello :)
    Damn, these are some spooky details! I only noticed the mug tree, the candy and the flower shape, but missed the lamppost, the phone (WTF! What was that?!), the owl and even the message from Safi. What confuses me here is that I DID get the dialogue from Gwen (I even went back just now to check), so there has to be something else that influences whether or not you get the message. Choices are strange …
    Either way, some very disturbing details! Love them, though. They feel very rewarding if you find them :)

    • @PlayingWithHeart
      @PlayingWithHeart  3 месяца назад +1

      Seriously nice with the mug... I think that's the hardest to find! Yes, the Gwen dialogue is based on her trust points, but it's really in depth. I'm working on it!

    • @irene._.054
      @irene._.054 3 месяца назад +1

      I think what influences getting the messages could be whether or not in living world you walk over where the flower shape would be in the dead world. It makes senss consdering the texts Safi sends

    • @PlayingWithHeart
      @PlayingWithHeart  3 месяца назад +2

      I actually tested that!! Unfortunately that's not it.. oddly. I have all of the reasons tracked as to why you get it, but I need to test it with earlier interactions with Gwen to see if there's any others that influence it first. It's really interesting and I'll share it as soon as I have all the right info!

    Great video, A few things I noticed on my second play through is that the painting of the pirate in the turtle changes in the two timelines and some of the paintings in the fine arts building too

    • @PlayingWithHeart
      @PlayingWithHeart  3 месяца назад +1

      YES! I saw that on my 2nd playthrough. So interesting. I'm trying to figure out what that means and how it's possible. At first I thought the difference in the timelines must've happened before Safi died.. because the artists had slightly different inspirations/moods... but that doesn't seem to be the case

  • @Blazingstoke
    @Blazingstoke 3 месяца назад +1

    I missed the bear mug and the lamp, but got the rest. I'll be sure to look out for those next playthrough, though!

  • @hellaradusername

    There's a tree with good vibes that Max likes: if you go straight ahead once you get past the barricade and Max can have a moment of calm on the park bench and it'll play a song, I don't remember which timeline this is in and if it's possible before you talk to Gwen.
    Not in this scene but there's a poster outside Moses' office that's like "remember to look up!" which is a gameplay tip that'll show you the Krampus head on the tree in the bar and apparently the weird light on the trail. Interestingly you'd catch these before seeing this poster but it makes sense because Max can time travel and such.
    I'm not sure those are supposed to be Sakura blossoms, there are Vermont wildflower posters in the fine arts building mail room, the one on the upper left hand side if you look up (hey) is a close match to the white flowers. Won't spoil the name but it's kind of yikes. Also not sure if this is intentional or I'm reading into things.

    those are really spooky!! the phone is crazy but is prob just a memory trapped in a personal item (but is it safis phone or is it her publishers phone? ). the owl - totally chill , owls travel independently of our diverging timelines okay. but i think what really got me is the mug in the tree!! thats wild! howd it get there??? it would either be like the tree had a hole cut into it that the mug was placed in early on and forgotten about and the tree grew around it??? or maybe the mug was teleported from one timeline to the next in that area and the tree was there?? whats happening there??

    • @awakatilluminado6129

    • @sardonicus1739

      I think Safi may be alive and faked her death. It just seems so weird to me when Vinh texted Max thinking it was Safi in the dead timeline, I can't let go of that detail. I don't understand why she would do that or how yet but it keeps sticking with me.

    • @alexelion7084

      @@sardonicus1739 Vinh texting Max could also maybe be that Living world and Dead world Vinh swapped places or something like that. It's definitely ominous

    Now that you mention spooky details I think the developers absolutely missed a chance here to make the crime scene dark grey depressing and sad. Such a funny sunny happy day on a picturesque hiking trail cannot really catch the mood of loss and depression, I would prefer the absolute sad dark grey Alan Wake 2 look here. The spooky details are interesting but even after having played Life is Strange 1 (the original) and LIS Before the Storm I cannot really make a connection between these details and the other games. Maybe too many years have passed between the original LIS1 and this game here. But what catches my interest is that exotic guy named Quen who looks like a native American female but is voiced by a guy. Is he from a different dimension? This game is no longer about time travel but about opening portals to other dimensions right? I can´t watch a play-through to prevent spoilers and story but is there a romance option with Max and Quen available in this new Life is Strange game? Is this deluxe cat DLC permanent and showing up in all episodes? Are there hidden spooky and mysterious elements from other Don´t Nod and Deck9 releases too?
