Morning! It's always good to have competition in any market. It keeps all the players on their toes to produce what customers want, not designers.
I don't own the Shimano Ocena reel, but a few Daiwa Saltiga reels with the slow pitch handles. Allows applying muscle when required. I concur on purchasing a left hand reel, as most people are right hand dominate.
I'm sure that GOMEXUS is producing a quality reel for the price point. Looked up the pricing for a 80W trolling reel, less than half the price of a Shimano or Penn International in the same size.
You need to start a "rock fish" collection. Takes up less space than a wall mounted fish and a conversation maker. Just leave in some bromide for a week or so to kill whatever might be hiding inside .

Do you notice a difference with a left-hand retrieve reel with spiral guides?
I definitely like the left handed retrieve better with the acid wrapped guides.

When you weren't looking, various sharks coated the bottom of your boat so that where-ever you stop to fish, sharks will sniff you and come to leave you with another

What is the rod storage on the underneath side of your T top? Is that after market? I also have a Nauticstar
They are suction cup rod holders made really for fly rods but work great on the boat.

Hello from Panama City Beach! After watching all your videos I'm hopefully going to be getting a Goofish and Gomexus setup for Fathers day. I was wondering what knot do you use to tie your braid to your leader for these goofish rods? I know the eye loops are small. Also, How have the eye loops on the Goofish rods held up after a few years of the knots running through them?
Congratulations on getting a SPJ setup! I haven’t had any problems with the Goofish rods at all and the Fuji guides are great. Here is the simple FG knot I use to go through the guides:

People really need to stop with safety stuff. We get it. Bad things happen. There are very few boating accidents compared to just taking the kids to school. You just remember boating stuff because it's news. Hope I didn't come of mean, I really don't mean it like that.

Thank you so much for your sincere concern and for commenting. Elizabeth gets upset with me whenever she edits the video and sees me without a PDF life jacket especially when I fish solo. What you don’t see is the PDF slung over the rod holder behind the Captains seat. If the weather changes and it gets rough out I will grab it and put it on right away. Hey guys! Great video Dan! I really like those reels. My buddy uses a Penn Fathom on his JJ rod. I want to get the same set up you have. That blue rod and reel pair nice together. Question on the rod. I'll be using a left hand reel like you, jig with my right arm. The direction of the spiral on the rod. The eyes, does it matter? Thanks for the content brother! Tight lines!

Let me explain again take a small magnet size of a quarter even bigger as good. Take a hacksaw so you get to the center can go back to the same card get your hacksaw off when you touch your face slide it onto your line. Let it sit down to the fish no chocolate will come near a magnet will not lose any more fish.

Saw a very thin piece right to the center leaving you room to put your put it on when you hook that fish what’s the sink? Let it go down like a sinker with your wine guarding it no shock go near the fish that you have all explain this correctly to youworks perfectly anymore. You have asked me.
