Hello Folks and welcome to the second of this week's review videos. Today, we look at SALZBURG in AUSTRIA (LOWS) a new scenery just released by developer RDPRESETS. Like INIBUILDS, PYREEGUE DEV CO and FLYTAMPA, RDPresets is another developer whose skills have improved such that they can produce wonderful sceneries like this.
This Salzburg scenery is excellent and fits seamlessly into the area among the mountains. A beautiful airport with challenging approaches, lying at over 1000 feet above sea level, this is a highly detailed scenery with almost everything fully modelled, textured and 3D rendered, as opposed to photoground. And again, people on the airport, internal Terminal development and lots of off-airport work too Take a good look at the RED BULL Hanger. Awesome! It's a lovely product, presented at a very competitive price. Check out the video and see if you agree.

Great review, may well pick this one up. With three versions of LFML now out it would be great to see a comparison, I know the BMW was recently updated to V2

Hello Michael, thanks for your comments. I'm a bit kind of had enough of LFML for now. My own opinion is that the RDPresets version still tops the board, although simmers will still get good mileage from the other two versions. In the end, it will come down to price I think. This does look fantastic.
I have a small request, could you maybe put some sort of performance measurement into your future reviews? I recently purchased the Male airport and unfortunatly the performance was slide show for me, whereas most airports are fine, and the same airport looked smooth in your review. I don't doubt it's smooth for some, but relative to other sceneries it's clearly more demanding. So maybe you could just, during a short section of the video, show your fps numbers so we can start to build up some kind of comparisons going forward?

Hello and thanks for commenting. I purposefully don’t put performance measurements in my reviews because everyone’s computer will give different output values. These days I do try to show how easily my drone camera moves around in a product which is about as much as I can do. The rule of thumb here is if you “usually” don’t struggle with performance in the Sun then mostly the product under review should be fine. There are, however, some Simmers who do struggle with performance and I feel for them. And it’s those who do struggle who potentially will suffer with some sceneries. But where I do see issues, and I do occasionally, then I’ll call them out. I hope it helps you. Lee

Great video, It looks good but I just wish they put the effort into another airport as the other LOWS scenery is still good and also has the city of salzburg included so i am not planning to switch to this one.

That’s a fair comment and you are correct, the other version still stands up well. But I do think this is the best currently. And I see huge improvements by developers, certainly over the last year or so. Thank you for watching

not overly impressed. Saw some asobo models in there which are often very taxing on performance

Hello and thanks for watching and commenting. Yes there are some Asobo objects in there but that does not undervalue the project. I don’t have the biggest PC setup and I have everything turned up to ULTRA - and the drone moves around freely, no real stutters or pauses. However you are entitled to your opinion and that’s cool. But for me it’s the best version out there and I think it’s worth the purchase price. Thanks again for watching. Lee
