I actually went to the Salal dam in Jammu . I actually saw it from inside because I went with my mother's friend who was kind of related to the Dam's idk which post but... I was awstruck the way it looked ... I couldn't believe I was literally in a dam !!

What is mineral?
Those substance which have definite chemical composition with solid substance and are crystaline structure.
It is extracted by human.
It does not need any human interference.
It is found in large pleatue of rock formation.
It is very useful for all of us like we use it in food 🍲 to make it more tasty like salt, and it is also used in medicines💊 etc.
It is extracted by human with the help of machinery.
Minerals are divided into
1matallic minerals
2. Non metallic minerals.
Matellic minerals are further divided into ferrous and non-ferrous.
Metallic minerals are those which are found in raw form eg, buxite, magnese etc.
Ferrous are those which contain iron like iron ore etc.
Non-ferrous are those which do not have iron like, gold, 🥈silver etc.
Non- metallic minerals are those which do not have metal in raw form eg limestock, mica etc.
Extraction of minerals.
Minning. 2 drilling. 3.quarrying.
1 quarrying the minerals that lie near the surface are simply dug out, by the process is known as quarrying.
2.drilling :deep wells are bored to take them out this is called drilling.
3.minning : the process of taking out minerals from rocks buried under the earth's surface is called minning.
Open cast minning minerals that lie at shallow depths are talken out by removing the surface layer is called open cast minning.
Shaft minning deep bores called shafts have to be made to reach minerals deposits that lie at great depths. This is called shaft minning. Eg petroleum.
Leading producer of iron in 🌏Asia are india and 🇨🇳China.
In Europe leading producer of iron are Russia🇷🇺 France 🇫🇷 🇸🇪Sweden.
