I couldn't find a decent chord chart for this song anywhere. Thanks to this performance I've been able to just copy his hands!
Can u plz give it ?
I bought this record twice. Once in the 70s and again just a couple months ago. So glad Ned's being rediscovered.
knew him couple of years ago because of spotify algorithm, his music is fantastic! i am from argentina and i love him
Sang it!!! He maintained his voice so well. Wow!!!
still got the voice
One of the most soulful performances I’ve ever seen. Astounding. His guitar playing is raw stripped-down funk... gliding up and down the fretboard and making it look effortless is quite extraordinary.
And the voice too... wow. Well done Ned.
Perfect example of when you're so connected emotionally to what you're doing you don't even need a click track!!!! Few current younger performers would struggle to do this!
What a great after-midnight find.
Great voice still. Been listening to the "Hard Candy" album for the last few days.
I was immediately struck by his voice as well. Still youthful sounding.
For both our dj icons to respect and play Ned....powerful. Our deepest bows to Gilles & Harvey
Timeless and inspiring.
Holy shit, he still has it. Rock Hard Candy.
I played these albums until they were worn through. Still have my vinyl to prove it. I've always been a huge fan ..since Widow Bedgwick in S.B. Thanks for all the great music, Ned.
he's so good wow
one of my all-time favorite songs, & artist....have the '76 album. one of the best songwriters in the industry, wrote for & was recorded by all the top artists, back in the day.....he always deserved (& still does) way more credit & attention. Go NED!
Beautiful guitar and voice!
The Real Deal. Then & Now. Thank You Ned!
Fantastic
Amazing, what a voice.
God bless Ned, Gilles and Numero Group (and DJ Harvey for introducing me to this wonderful track and Tata Vega for her brilliant cover as well). All good things!!!
So glad I found this online. I had this song going through my head just this morning. Love Ned's work. Heading to get the MP3s somewhere online. "Hard Candy" is an awesome album that should have received a lot more kudos when it was released in 1976.
unforgettable concert in Dublin in July 2019. hopefully , not the last time I'll get to see him live.
Absolutely awesome!!!!
Solid ! ❤
Oh, how I absolutely adore Ned 😍❤️ Such a beautiful songwriter--I've had "Separate Oceans" on repeat for the past week!
AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So glad to see this. Ned's first three albums (all gems) probably get played more than anything on my turntable, next to things like David Bowie, French and Italian jazz funk soundtracks, soul and other crazy Lps. His records are so melodic, soulful and feel good albums. After you've listened to all Ned's stuff, another underrated, or rather unknown blue-eyed soul singer to check out is Bobby Caldwell and his first solo Lp, which had his biggest hit on it.
You might really like ronnie woods first two solo albums if you like ned doheny and Bobby Caldwell. They're called now look and ive got my own album to do.
Great artist!
Perfect Giles Ned.
He still sounds good.
♥
Great one gilles
Wish he would visit my country for a performance
Fantástico! Excelente voz e simples arranjo no violão.
I think hard candy is right up there with Ron wood's first two albums as the most overlooked solo albums of the whole decade. I would give so much to see the two of them come together for a record
好き
DOPE FIRE REAL MUSIC ,
Wow! I'm shocked...

So Nice! Thank you!

関係無いけど、今、鬱で仕事休んでます🤔あなたの声に、癒されてます❗CD、Amazonでさっき申し込みました(笑)届くのが楽しみ❗
grande anima...
yeah
This song is great. I love Ned's version of course, but the strength of this song I think is that it was also good funked up and discoed as well. Is there a country version? If so, I'd like to hear it.
Would like to have a look into his record collection 😀
Yachtrock rocks
Chords? Tabs? Anyone!?
Verse 075700 -> 079767 The Chorus is tricky and has a lot of quick changes but here are the chords: x04550->quickly slides up a halfstep on the d string to-> x05550-> x05553 -> x05555 -> x05550 -> slides up: x04442->05553 -> 05553 -> 079767 -> x77777
Hey, boys & girls, know who also is a huge fan of Ned’s? Daft Punk. Time to dig through crates.
あのね。ドヒニードラブって、あってさ、市の境界線の通りの境にある、通りの名前にあるくらいの坊ちゃんなんだけど、いいいい奴だよん。。
