The jail gets $30K to house an inmate for a year. They house that inmate for $12K. The last thing any jail wants is an unfilled bed.

*spoilers (If you're a new viewer / first time listener to this story / storyline)*
Also, this comment / question. Really really long, just a fair warning. Just a debate I had in my head about the legality and possibility of entrapment that Ryan got caught up in with the cops / The undercover Ryan.
I'm not a lawyer or anything, but touching on how the whole setup for the pimping thing started... But if Charlie, the Uber driver that Ryan was acquainted with, if he was the rat that told on Ryan and led the cops to that motel, and if the undercover Ryan who was Charlie the Uber drivers regular customer, the guy that had asked Charlie on what seemed to be multiple occasions, or even just one occasion really is all it takes, if Charlie knew anyone that could be a sugar baby to him... And then eventually Ryan and this girl Elizabeth meet, and Ryan finally takes Charlie up on his offer, which is a second hand message / second hand information from the undercover Ryan who had been asking for a sugar daddy/sugar baby relationship in the first place... I don't know, that sounds like entrapment.
If it wasn't for the undercover Ryan asking Charlie the Uber driver for a sugar baby, then Charlie would not have been asking Ryan if Ryan knew of any girls that wanted to enter a sugar daddy relationship right? And so the only reason this happened was because the undercover cop started it. Point blank. Obviously Charlie didn't know that this other Ryan was an undercover cop, and Charlie himself wasn't an undercover cop or a CI confidential informant, so yeah. That sounds like entrapment to me.
The cop working on his own playing the part as some random thirsty John starting this whole chain of events by asking some Uber driver for a sugar baby just doesn't sound like something that should be legal for cops to do you know? I know there is a fine line between entrapment and legal ways of busting people, so again, this could have possibly been so-called legal within law enforcements parameters, but it's just super sketchy. I feel like a decent lawyer could have argued that and disputed the charge.
On top of that, getting a bit more into the finer details of this whole thing, sugar daddy/sugar baby relationships are not illegal. I suppose somebody could make a straw man argument and saying that it is a form of prostitution, but I mean not really. The undercover cop wasn't asking Charlie to set him up with a prostitute. And women that do sugar baby deals are not prostitutes either. There are plenty of older men that have sugar babies and pay their way of life without ever having sexual relations you know? A lot of the times guys just want a pretty young woman on their arm when they go out in public, or just to have someone around to not feel alone.
And whether or not the sugar daddy and his sugar baby decide to have further relations, that's really nobody else's business. Especially not the government's business. It's too legally aged consenting adults here, and the contract between them isn't strictly for sex in which the woman leaves afterwards to continue flipping tricks. It's basically a pre-arranged live-in girlfriend type situation. Don't Amish people and perhaps other subcultures in America still practice arranged marriages where the families exchange money or some other types of goods or just any form of business to where say the family of the man or woman benefits from arranging for each other's children to marry and live together?
I don't know if that makes sense, what it is I'm trying to articulate from my head.
I mean, I think I mentioned this on one of these earlier videos in this saga, a friend of mine that I had made while in rehab went on some sugar baby website and they worked out a contract for her allowance and they may or may not still be together, but they did it legally on a website. Not some fishy website like Backpage or wherever where coded language has to be used to exchange favors for one another illegally and under the table. And so this was the premise that the undercover cop was going by when he told this to Charlie, and this is the same premise and intention that Charlie had passed on to Ryan, and so it's the same intentions that Ryan had spoke with Elizabeth about, and so yeah, that was their intent. They weren't arranging an illegal meet for paid sxual favors, they were meeting to arrange a sugar daddy / sugar baby matchmaking relationship meet. And yeah, the undercover cop said that he wanted to view intimate photos of her and then hook up with her to see if they would be compatible, but there was no money on the table or being talked about for this encounter.
It's no different than a man meeting a woman on any type of dating site, going out and getting to know each other, and if they are both down, hooking up on the first date to see if they want to keep doing so. It's virtually the same thing.
So along with entrapment, I feel like this also could have been argued that Ryan was set up into a sting operation and being charged and arrested under false pretenses. Again, I'm pretty sure that my opinion on this is incorrect in some way, but it seems to me that it shouldn't be legal for law enforcement to go undercover, posing as in this case, a regular Uber customer for a driver that they just happen to be picked up by consistently, and then just I don't know where start up conversations and asking the driver questions if the driver knows any woman who is willing to be a sugar baby mistress for him because he has a lousy marriage, and then keep on intentionally putting these ideas into the unknowing drivers head until the point comes to when the driver obliges the undercover officer.
That alone just sounds very illegal. And again (again lol) requesting a service for a sugar baby that is not illegal to do it all, neither requesting or actually putting it into action, such an arrangement is not illegal, but still busting, charging, and arresting the marks for so-called prostitution, when there was never any talk of a one-time single sxual encounter being paid with money to where the woman leaves after the encounter is finished, which is prostitution, that was never discussed, the cop himself never asked Charlie the driver for that, and Charlie never asked that of Ryan and Elizabeth to do.
It's just very messed up and to me it just seems like one out of millions of cases where law enforcement operates and busts people outside of their legal parameters. there was no _mens rea_ (criminal justice tems for "criminal intent"), which is a very real and sometimes the make or break Factor in some criminal cases that can determine whether or not the accused party acted and or broke a law knowing it was illegal, doing something with malicious or criminal intent. That did not seem to exist in this scenario. It never would have happened if it wasn't for some random person that just so happened to be an undercover cop, that consistently asked and practically begged the same citizen (charlie) multiple times (or even if the cop only asked once, that's all it takes, But if the cop had asked Charlie to do him this favor or set him up with a girl multiple times) to do him this " favor ".
If it could have been proved that the undercover cop asked Charlie multiple times to find him a sugar baby mistress side woman (which of course if there is no form of video or audio recording of the undercover cop discussing this with Charlie, Charlie could testify it under oath all day and the courts will still believe the cop, even if the cop blatantly lied about asking for such a favor multiple times).
Anyway... Ryan's case probably could have (well), I really do think it definitely could have been argued much better and things probably would have had a much higher chance of falling in his favor. It just seems like such a dirty, illegal, corrupt, crooked cop weigh of "enforcing the law".
There's nothing more accurate than a drug addicts gut feeling.

Dauphin county jail or DCP is a high security "county jail " that houses over 1200 inmates regularly and was built to house about 800 inmates. They "offer" a work release program, witch was payed for and owned bye 4 judges 2 of witch are still active sitting judges ! This is a FACT!! Tell me why this is ok?

You should have brought this to the state medical or psychology boards (or whatever state department licenses and oversees psychiatrists) attention to at least try to get this bitch fired and the office she worked for cited as well. Not only did she lie to you about Doctor patient confidentiality but she coerced you into basically confessing by leading you to believe she was a psychiatrist instead of just an Intern,,.. Bottom line is that the office she was working for should have never let an unlicensed intern see any patients what so ever. You probably could of sued them over this for malpractice, or at least threatened to in order to prevent them from contacting your PO.

bro just got outta Harris County (houston tx) jail it's madness. 800 inmates confirmed with it a whole county building quarantine.... we're talking 1200 commerce like a 7 story building 1300 inmates quarantine. anyone with bullshit parole holds because they got caught w weed or failed ua they can't even bond out cause no one's in the parole office in the capital building answering calls so no one can get there parole hold lifted even if there bond is only 500$... so sad

Love your content bro! Like I said before, my wife and I watch you all the time and talk about what you discuss. I have a question and if anyone has an answer it would be you. I got arrested by the D.E.A. and this October will be 3 years ago and they were telling me that my case was going federal for the conspiracy part. I got arrested for delivery of a controlled substance greater than 4 grams less than 200 grams, participating in criminal activity and conspiracy. I have not heard a single word about the case and I haven't been givin a court date on it.... I was picked up on a probable cause warrant by them. What's your opinion on this. Because it has been so long is that a good thing or a bad thing LoL
They have five years to make their case and indict. I was indicted a little over four years after catching my first charge. If it's state i believe they have less, I don't know though, never did state time. My advice to you my brother is get in touch with a lawyer. I hope you didn't talk when you went down. I'm not talking about snitching. I'm talking about you talking and them using it against you.

@@JennaH-l1j I appreciate the response and input. Whenever I went down they searched my car and just took me straight to jail. I didn't do any talking at all. The only question they asked me at all was if they could see me cell phone and I told them no. And their response was ok, that's fine we will just get a search warrant for it then... And I never heard anything since. I got bailed out a few days after I got locked up. They locked up me and my dad and went for my older brother but I know he had to talk and say something because he never went to jail they just questioned him but he won't talk much to me about it. Says he didn't talk but he's full of it. Otherwise why wasn't he arrested as well...

Dude you just said it, prison is for profit. I was just speaking to my mother about the fact more money are put into prisons than the school systems. They have to justify spending that money, it’s bullshit.
Listen, I was at a state facility in Va., a little camp. We had to pick fruit and vegetables year around. We’d pick millions of pounds yearly to which that would get sold at a market. So basic math tells you this place was making a million dollars a year, not including the other sources of revenue. So yea, they don’t want to fk that up.

No. Mandatory minimums are completely designed to fuel mass incarceration. What’s the point of a judge if the judgment is tied? Turner should have received 25 years. But that doesn’t mean I’d ever advocate for a conviction conveyer belt. They should be harsher towards pedophiles and rapists - but mandatory sentences, ignoring mitigation, is a bad thing.
