Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is an action-adventure single-player video game played from a third-person perspective. As with the first game and Miles Morales, Peter Parker and Miles Morales are the two main characters, with Mary Jane and Venom playable in certain missions, becoming individually playable in accordance with the story as they traverse an open world New York City and fight enemies. Players can acquire new abilities and collect various Spider-Man suits. Peter and Miles can be freely swapped between at any point during free-roam in the game's open world, and have dedicated missions both in the main story and as part of side content that takes advantage of their individual traits. The game expands upon the prior entries' open world, allowing players to explore Brooklyn and Queens in addition to Manhattan, which was the main setting of the previous two games.
Building on the combat system of the previous titles, both Spider-Men are able to parry physical attacks, as certain enemy types are impervious to dodging. During traversal, both Peter and Miles' new suits come equipped with Web Wings, which, when deployed, allow them to glide across the city, with their speed and distance covered increasing when taking advantage of areas such as wind tunnels. Each Spider-Man's gadget wheel has been upgraded with additional equippable mods for their web-shooters, such as being able to cast a Web Line across pillars for additional footing during stealth sequences suspended above enemies, and the Web Grabber, allowing multiple enemies to be pulled into an isolated spot for Stealth Takedowns, which can be performed on two enemies at once. In addition to Peter Parker's standard gameplay, he is playable when bonded to the Venom symbiote, granting him tendrils that he uses during combat, and unique web-based abilities. Both Spider-Men have individual Skill Trees with additional unlockable abilities for both of them once they accumulate enough Skill Points in accordance with their experience level, as well as a third Skill Tree dedicated to shared abilities between them.

This entire mission is an homage to Ultimate Spider-Man game. Insomniac was the ONLY good choice to make a Spider-Man adventure after Activision treated it like shit in their final years of adapting this property.
Not really. Games let you play as Venom before. You don't even have to eat people to stay alive here.

@@Bluesit32 You literally proved his point. This stage in the game had HEAVY ultimate spider-man vibes. Its hardly a stretch m8. If you do new spiderman game, you do research on how previous titles handled similiar characters and so on. Its clear that additionally to this developers knew people love Ultimate Spiderman game that is almost ALL about Venom.

The closest we’ll ever get to an edgy symbiote game is prototype which is kinda like playing like carnage because the devs need the main character to be either a poc, an alphabet person or a female and we can’t have those being evil because market stocks go down when not inclusive 🫃🤓

I don't think that's possible. A spin off game would require Venom to still be alive.
@@Bluesit32 the symbiote is still inside Harry's blood, plus dr. Connors said to destroy the symbiote the host has to die. Technically they could bring venom back with carnage the sane way venom was brought back into the ultimate comics
@@kimonoda115 The Anti-Venom symbiote doesn't leave traces left.
@@Bluesit32 it left traces of the symbiote in mac gargan when him n anti venom fought. Plus insomniac could've easily added extra dialoge or a cutscene to show the symbiote isn't in Harry's blood but they didn't
@@kimonoda115 They didn't show that it was still present in Harry either. Anti-Venom never finished with Gargan. He got away before the purge was complete. I will grant you though that Insomniac made the Anti-Venom symbiote super weak though, so it's possible. All the times Peter got covered in Venom goo and not once did it seem to prevent that.

When I started playing as him, I literally had tears of joy playing as Venom, knowing that he's always been one of my favorite villains/anti heroes ever

Venom originally was going to have the spider logo that we saw in the comics
This version of venom has to be the most violent one in the games
Sadly the finishers aren't canon, so venom didn't breaked the back to someone or eaten the face of a guard in the escape sequence 😔

Easily the best part of the game! Seriously playing as Venom was such a visceral thrill that Insomniac needs to consider a Venom game. It'll make some major bank!
YES this is one of the 2 things I wanted to see the next thing I want to see is them reacting to Peter becomes anti venom
The only Spider-Man games I've ever played were Insomniac's, the ones based on the Raimi movies, & Shattered Dimensions so I can only imagine how it felt for most people playing as Venom again

There *needs* to be a dlc or update which allows you to play as Venom outside of this misson. Whether it's in free roam (as it's own self-contained mode), some new missions or even some kind of wave mode. Otherwise, it's such a waste when you consider the effort that went into making a whole new moveset with a character who plays so differently to Spiderman.
His own game would be cool but.. that would mean waiting several years. 😂

You need to start adding reactors like Jettro Jettro, Jacksepticeye, Michael Angelo etc as they all have pretty high energy genuine reactions too, this compilation feels pretty limited to the amount of creators that should be added

Just a gentle suggestions - you need to expand the pool of RUclipsrs you use for reactions. Maybe look into Twitch/Kick streamers as well.

Anyone else think these reactions were kinda... underwhelming? With all the hyper for reveal of Spidey wearing the black suit, I thought there'd be a lot more energy regarding Venom appearing, not to mention getting to play as him.

The entire mission was ruined with the jump sequence getting to the security room. Horrible controls and the no ability to swing ruined this experience.
