I like that he’s not frightened to make changes, in terms of team selection and in game changes. Sometimes those changes work out, other times they don’t. Last night definitely didn’t work out, however Vata and Doumbia were definitely positives. Tom is young and learning and I think he’ll make a great coach, hopefully at Watford.
Anyone whinging about our recent form should direct their dissatisfaction at the pozzo family...yep, the people who refuse to invest in watford fc..our squad is paper thin .we now have 2 more key players injured, yet there's still no meaningful signings in the transfer window...tom cleverley has performed a minor miracle thus far..no doubt a club with a bit of ambition will come calling for him...the youngsters in the team have performed really well .considering the clowns who own our club we are doing well to stay in the championship
The squad is not paper thin at all. There are a few injuries but the claim that it is paper thin just isn't true. There might be players you would prefer not to be in the squad but there has been at least 2 players for every position all season. The fact that Vata, Baah, Louza, to name only 3, have come into the first team over the course of the season having previously been depth options demonstrates that. You've had players like Ken Sema and Festy Ebosele not getting in the squad for weeks. How is does that indicate thinness? We are missing certain qualities in certain areas but the problem has not been depth.

I think the problem is clearly shown by the first half stats that showed we had 59.1% possession as opposed to Preston’s 40% yet it was Preston that could have been 3 or 4 nil up. Every attack fizzled out whereas Preston looked like they could score every time. Whether that was lack of confidence in front of goal, good defending or just lack of ideas, it is an area that needs to be addressed. Great goal from Vata though.
The culture of having no resilience when things get tough is ingrained under this ownership. Sad many fans have developed the same attitude. Tom's been handed an average, unbalanced squad in a very competitive league. Are we really expecting promotion?
I think we need a defence coach. That’s no disrespect to our current staff, but Wally Downes did a stint a West Ham when they couldn’t defend for love or money and made them do the basics,and stopped them being relegated, although Sam Alladyce took the credit, it was Downes that worked only with the defence turned them around,give him a 4 month contract a see what evolves
Most spineless and directionless performance of the season. It is bizarre to me to see where we are in the league because some of these performances are more like watching Plymouth under Rooney.
You lost 3-0 at Deepdale as well. Preston have hardly lost any, it's only due to so many draws that they're mid table, but they're a lot better than their position suggests. They haven't lost one game to a single side in the top 10 and were robbed of a clear winner vs Burnley and were seconds away from beating Leeds.
Time's up, Tom - yet another awful, awful performance. Clevs cannot solve these issues and why play out from the back as we clearly lack the skill to get the ball forward? We may as well hoof it and get Rajovic back as Bayo is so one dimensional.

It's all down to the players who are simply not good enough and do not possess the winning mindset required. We need a clear out.

@DarrenskiPNE were great, particularly in the first half. Also big credit to the 400 fans who travelled 3.5-4 hours on a Tuesday night.
