Say it was an absolute nightmare playing against this lad!! Such a slippery bastard!😂😂 deceptively strong too! Liked to wind people up on the pitch but heard loads of players say Mike Brown is one of those guys who's a prick on the field and a gentleman off it, so the perfect bloke to have in your team, but you absolutely hate playing against them!!😂😂😂😂
that's a pretty damn good team, though I think Retalick or Whitelock would deserve a spot but otherwise solid. I can forgive him selecting players he knew well
Hey DC, now you just need to get Robshaw on. Then you can all talk about THAT try against Ireland in the Six Nations; get it done by the time England get to Dublin 😜🤣
England should seriously let their players reveal personality more as since I’m seeing Care, Brown, Lawes, May etc they’re awesome and I’m Welsh so I naturally dislike you all but really enjoying your true personalities being revealed
@ mate wow actual Danny Care messaging me, weird Fan boying 😅😂…as im actually older and played a good standard myself back in the day! Thanks for taking the time to reply snd honestly fantastic content especially the one with Adam Jones the tiers one!
It seems the English have managed to collectively forget about lomu. I'm a saffa and lomu gets picked before Habana as a winger. Entire team he's just picked, the opposition is concentrating resources on Lomu. If he's not scoring it's cause he's opened massive holes for everyone else
@@DannyCareYT aaah fair enough, I double checked the title to see if that was a condition like previous picks on your channel and assumed that it wasn’t. Saying that, what a brutal test match debut vs Bakkies. He’s picked a brutal team
@ Lomu in form is first pick. Kiwis’s have McCaw and DC to debate as to their best player but I’ll put that down to recency bias. There is nobody more impactful than Jonah.
how about an ultimate international team using only quins heres mine 1. marler 2. moore 3. leonard 4. launchbury 5. herbst 6.skinner 7.winterbottom 8. zinzan 9.care.10.marcus 11. murley 12.greenwood 13.carling (c) 14. luger 15.brown now i know the difference in the games evolution means some of these would have not survived the amatuer shoeings and the older guys would have folded at todays pace but all things being equal i would have loved to have seen this team
Yes, Mike Brown famously played with Woodcock, Castro, Botha, McCaw, Dupont, Carter, Nonu, Smith, Tuilagi, Habana and Dagg. Wait actually no he didn't. Sounds pretty impartial to me.
@fomofud9479 were soft private schools play rugby over here ! All nice an cosy bin in jail 8 years as well an there would be some good players there ! Has a private school boy bin ever bin cold 🥶 or hungry?
That pack would be absolutely horrible to play against. Running against Montoya, Big Mo, Lawes, Bakkies, McCaw, Billy V? Just run backwards. Balance also pretty good
Danny, I’ve been thinking, and I believe there’s a way we could outmanoeuvre the Springboks-specifically by completely nullifying the scrum. Hear me out: do we really have to place a front row or hooker on the bench? Without a qualified replacement for the front row, any injury to a prop or hooker would force uncontested scrums. This would fundamentally disrupt South Africa’s core strategy, which relies heavily on their set piece and dominance in the scrum. Even if it means sacrificing a player and going a man down, maintaining our numbers in the backs could give us an edge. Supplemented with a greater split (maybe something as radical as 6:2) in favour of the backs on the bench, England’s backs, could then focus on manipulating space. This would force South Africa’s bigger players into repeated, energy-draining defensive efforts, exploiting potential gaps and lapses as they tire. Rassie Erasmus is known for his tactical mind games, but I think this would be a fitting countermeasure. Would love to hear your thoughts on this, Danny!
@@RozWentworth I envy that and wish we could develop a team and identity to do that and unapologetically so. That's why you are back-to-back world champions

@@HarryNye Just checked my WR laws. In Law 6. With a full international squad, you must have a replacement for each position in the front row. Lateral thinking Harry, but…just gonna have to front up! ⬆️👌
its amazing how 10 is always jonny or dan eh? unless of course its a saffa or kiwi picking then they would rather pick a ballet dancer than pick a englishman
I love how you guys underestimate Springboks. That must be one of the reasons they rule the Rugby world currently. Only 2 boks in the squad, not good enough.
Brown pick a team of players he has played with on a light hearted pod and you think he is underestimating South African players because he didn't pick more. Get over yourself ffs
Just. Imagine. This. Team. TERRIFYING! What do you think of Browny's selection?
Fantastic
Boks 3rd string beat this team 4/5 times
Best I’ve seen yet
I like the way that when Browny gets talking he waves his hands around like a puppet hung up in a breezy place
Mike Brown comes across as a cool guy.
It's always so funny
He's like so chill off the field and so intense on it
The Botha pick. Someone is in the team because he almost killed you on your intro to test rugby. Fair play, Brownie. Fair play.
It's his 15 - not yours....it's called an opinion. And it's an opinion by someone who actually played with or against these people...
So cool to see 2 of my heros I grew up watching talk shop
There he is, one of my favourite Harlequins players ever!!!! #COYQ

These are amazing fair play 👌🏼
The stories are great!
Put Mike Brown in a pink shirt from TM Lewin and he’d be a stock character in a Guy Ritchie film.
That’s the best comment we’ve had in weeks Stevo- much respected and celebrated!
Big fan of all the South Africans in the comments just doubling down on making every other rugby fan in the world hate them
As a Saffa, I agree that many SA fans come across as pricks, but understand that a lot of them don't have much to celebrate.
@ fair enough
@@lolus8974 Thank you.
Scrum makes it a game for everyone. Other wise play rugby league
Surprised no Cheslin Kolbe 👀.
Great selection, with great reasoning - the pack might just about give front foot ball to the backs....;)
Woodcock a beast. The AB's over the last 25 years have in general had the best scrum- he was among the best to anchor it. Up the Woodcock!
that's a pretty damn good team, though I think Retalick or Whitelock would deserve a spot but otherwise solid. I can forgive him selecting players he knew well
Conrad Smith is the most underrated rugby player along with Fourie du Preez of all time

That's quite a brutal team. Like it though.

When a Springbok prop can last a whole game maybe they'll give them a mention ;D

Great team. Would probably argue for Eben and Malcolm Marx to take the top spots in their positions but I’m biased.

15 - no Cullen on the list 😮
Gentle men a little trivia, Jonah Lomu weight Kg 120, vs Cheslin Kolbe weight Kg 75
Lomu is faster and would rag him round people forget how devastating Jonah was . NO winger ever got near him it was 12,13 or 8s coming to help .
Only disagree on 8. Duane V all day.
