That was a dirty play not a basketball play
She pushed her a little bit. It wasn't that bad. Jordan pushed a guy to clear space to hit the game winner to claim his 6th championship. Would the game have been better if they had called foul? Would the sport of basketball been better? There is still a physical component to the game. Thank goodness. Sometimes you gotta play through contact, and pushes and bumps and bruises and pain. Sometimes greatness is about skill, sometimes it's how quickly you pop up when you get knocked off your feet. It's not boxing or mma... some people are putting there body at much greater risk to compete. I don't feel bad when a basketball player gets pushed and knocked down. I have very seldom ever been knocked off my feet playing basketball. Keep your feet.... nobody can keep them for you. And if you get knocked down, pop up keep playing. Respect

Angel Reese just did an interview saying "It's not just one person, it's me too." Before Caitlin was even drafted Sheryl Swoopes questioned the validity of her scoring record, incorrectly claiming she had an extra year due to covid. Now if you don't believe she's being treated differently on the court, one thing that can't be denied is that there's shots being taken at her off the court.

These "experts" haven't watched enough of CC's games. She get called for touch fouls and CC gets hacked with no calls. This was a thug play. Suspension and a fine absolutely warranted. Teammates that stood and cheered should have been fined.

You're allowed to have emotions- the game is built with that dynamic in mind, but she went beside the game to do that. If Clark was provocating I think that's a larger conversation but if this is completely unprovoked I really think this is a clear case of a lack of sportsmanship and respect for oneself and others.

While I have respect for both of them, I think Rebecca Lobo and Monica McNutt are wrong about this issue. Chennedy Carter, after the foul, basically said Clark does nothing other than shoot three's. Carter had no contrition in the post-game interview. No need to hip check players before the ball is even in play.

The refs have targeted her. They call her for ticky-tack fouls and technicals. Then they don’t call the fouls when she is getting hammered. The players are taking advantage of it.

That's usually a foul even in NFL games. NBA needs to step in and force the WNBA to change the rules to protect superstars and the business commercial integrity of the league. Also they need to implement mandatory suspensions even up to the entire season. NBA did it to protect Michael years ago already. The Pistons forced the NBA to change to protect superstars.

I played rugby for years. It's far more violent than basketball in open play - search for 'rugby tackles' in YT if you want to see what I mean. But if a rugby player did what Carter did, just walk up to another player and deck him while there's no play going on, or even when there is play going on but somewhere else on the pitch - his team would be penalised, he'd be sent off, his team would play one man short for the rest of the match, he'd be automatically suspended for his next match, and he'd probably face a disciplinary panel which would decide whether he was going to face an even longer suspension.
