Side Style Bind

This video is a tutorial on learning how to do the Side Style Bind on a yo-yo. The bind is a way to get advanced yo-yos to return to your hand after completing a trick. The Side Style Bind is used when doing side style tricks such as the Trapeze, Double or Nothing, etc.

I am not exactly sure what you mean....I do know you should not bind straight from the trapeze, as the string is on the wrong side of the bearing. It really should be on the BACK SPIN side to bind correctly. So in the trapeze you have to get it on the other side of the bearing to work properly. There are a few ways to get it to the other side of the bearing, perhaps that is what you saw Andre doing?

Thanks! I was wondering how André did it in his tutorial videos. But I think he also has another way, when he wraps the string around from a trapeze. Do you know how that's done?

The yo-yo was still slightly spinning....and all I did was a bind. The difference was that is was spinning so slowly, I had to have a VERY long tail, and pinch and pull a bit more to get it to return all the way to my hand. If you practice it a bit, you will see what I mean. Good luck!
