In the 80s, the Shipibo Konibo arrived in Tingo María for the first time, bringing their crafts and culture with them, forming their first native community in the Huánuco region in 2000, with the name Soi Biri.
Through the years, crafts have been of great importance to the Shipibo people, as they represent their customs, history and identity.
