Tonight I went to Lowe's and bought a mailbox a bag of cement and a bag of sand plus various other items. Then I watched this video and am taking it all back tomorrow except for the sand since I went ahead and ordered this instead.

@@NaterTater Thanks A piece of someone's siding wrapped around the mailbox at 150mph. No way it was going to make it. There were a bunch of people that lost their mailboxes and .... . I am alive. BTW - I wish T-mobile had 5G service at our place there. I couldn't receive\make phone calls for quite a while.
DRY DRY sand is the key. I bought "playbox" sand(stored inside) and it was not dry, Very laborious process getting about 35 lbs into each side of the base
Hmm... this may be a solution. I share a post for the mailbox with the neighbor across the road. The milk can it is set in is starting to show its age. I'm thinking with a little extra weight applied to the base it will support to mailboxes. Thanks for the review.😀
Just one more thing to put back in place after Hurricane Ian. Would be interesting to see where it would end up after the 70-80 mile a hour wind that we had here.
People in my area get so tired of the plows knocking down their mailboxes that they put a post in a 5 gallon container and fill with gravel/concrete. Kind of the same principle..

Nice video. 🙂
…and that was cool of Simplay3 to include the funnel for the sand. 😎
Thanks.
I was looking for a replacement for my mailbox that got blown away by hurricane Ian.
Sorry to hear Ian affected you!

Thanks for the video. I'd like to get the cordless power screwdriver. Is it from Amazon, too?

Waiting for Nate to test this as a portable Waveform Antenna stand.

Hi, nate, where did you purchase your shirt? It looks very stylish.

@@alannorris-q5b it shouldn't! Rated for that weather.

I'm not sure

Indeed
concrete might be a good option instead of sand.
It could be for sure. Also I think if you just pour water in after the sand it will weigh the same as concrete.
need one that holds 2 mailboxes for me and neighbor.shouldnt have to buy 2 of these.
