For question #19, is it true that the bond MUST be accreted even though it is sold on the secondary market? I was under the impression that for tax-free municipal bonds everything is MUST except for secondary market discount bonds (which is may).
Do you have a video covering Mayhammer? I understand the math behind accretion and decretion, but don't quite understand what mayhammer is trying to show me. Thanks!
@@Series7Guru Okay gotcha, thank you! Does the exam more so just tell you to adjust the cost basis and compare it to what you sold for using accretion math, but NOT use mayhammer to distinguish whether you have to accrete or not? More so, just point and click math? Thank you!
For question #16, why would buying a put affect the holding period of the stock? If you buy you have a right to sell, but are not obligated to sell. I would have thought that writing a call where you may be obligated to sell would impact the stock's holding period. Would welcome some context on this one. Thanks Dean!
Go Nico! Guy is crushing it.

More of this!!! Thank you!!!!
This is so helpful . Thank u

You are correct but not testable. What is testable is muni purchased at a premium.

No. It's not testable enough to be worthy of a video.
Put accretion into the channel search bar and examples will magically appear

What do you think of using ExamFX as my study guide for the series 7?
Not a big fan.

When you buy the put you are no longer at risk in the stock.
