As far as I'm aware, the in-app updater is really buggy and has been effectively non-functional for the last few versions. You can still update manually by directly downloading the new version with no problem, though!

Yeah, I've seen that but it definitely bugs when I've interacted with it
@@FrostyLass yeah, they fix it as soon as they can they have more urgent bugs as far they know, they're a small team.

Exactly that, but someone on the Lifegen discord said that they did that for them too even after updating.
