    Great video! I just purchased this same bike from Aldi, of all places, for $249 bucks. I was seriously looking at Peloton bikes, but at $249 bucks, I could not go back to looking at Peloton. It's a new year and I was in the market for a bike anyway, so I think I'm good now...Plus, your video made me feel good about my purchase, so there i that too! Big thumbs up!

    I just got the same bike at WM too.
    Are you streaming Spin videos from YT or using an app like Les Mills / Peloton ?
    I was wanting to do the latter & hook up the most appropriate sensors to input speed / RPM / cadence data so as to upload to app or Ride track site like Strava or Zwift.
    Thanks in advance -
    Regards - David

      I was thinking of going with a new sensor and tracking it via Strava but I ended up just going old school and using my iPhone and timer. I do a variation of a HIIT workout; 3 min easy warm up pace, 10 min fast/intense, 5 min at a slow/resting pace, then another 10 minutes of hard resistance at fast pace. I burn my legs pretty good with this and when I get on my real mtn bike it’s smooth sailing. Don’t forget to do some calf raises as well. Have fun and enjoy the burn!

      @@OGAdam Can you recommend a specific model of sensor/tracking device to replace the one that comes with the bike? Because that one is of no use to me.

    • @OGAdam
      @OGAdam  2 года назад +1

      That’s the only thing about the bike that I don’t recommend is the included LCD. I would go with a Wahoo Cadence Sensor for a simply setup without adding any more $ to the total cost of the bike.

    • @tracybroers332

      @@OGAdam Does the current sensor connect via bluetooth? Or how are you suppose to connect to the iFit app?

    • @OGAdam
      @OGAdam  2 года назад +1

      This particular model does not connect to iFit. I know that Sam’s Club and HSN has a 505 SPX (Grey) so that might be a newer model. The LCD on this one is very basic if that. The “Reed Switch” attaches to the fork and tracks the flywheel via magnet. Again the LCD screen is similar to an old school Casio watch that I don’t even bother using. You can download iFit on your device and just use it for the workouts but it will not sync with this model.

    I'm curious about the cart that you have it sitting on--what kind of cart and can you use the bike while on the cart or do you have to move it off?

    • @OGAdam
      @OGAdam  Год назад

      It’s actually just sitting on a workout mat that can be purchased anywhere. It’s the foam type with the jigsaw puzzle ends to adjust the size. As far as moving the bike while on the bike, no it will tear the mat. You’ll need to lift the bike off first.

    Hello, I just purchased this bike and my right crank arm hole is stripped and the peddle will not stay in. Do you have any recommendations on how to fix this?

    • @OGAdam
      @OGAdam  2 года назад

      Just make sure that you’re turning the pedal in the right direction. It’s not the usual clockwise turn for pedals. They are marked L and R as well so double check that. If the crank arm is stripped then returning the bike would be the best solution.

    How low can the seat go? (In inches) I am 4' 11" and I can't find seat height/ inseam measurements on any website that sells this bike. (Including the pro-form website itself)

  • @brandontheITguy

    Do you have any idea how I can get taller handlebars for this thing? I'm 6' 4" and I've tried adjusting my seat everyway, but I keep kicking myself with my knees...

    • @OGAdam
      @OGAdam  2 года назад

      Have you adjusted (pulling the front knob under the handlebar and raising the handlebars up) and raising the seat? The handlebars are designed to ride low like a road bike with dropbars so maybe pull the seat up and out towards the rear of the bike. Maybe that will give you more space for your knees.

    • @2toosexE
      @2toosexE Год назад

      I'm 5"8 and those handlebars are too low and because of this I had to lower my seat which hurts my knees. Still I'm bent over and a lot of pressure on my shoulders. Not a fan of this bike.

      Magnetic resistance uses a belt and cost more. This model uses a belt as well and a friction pad against the flywheel.
