The Shadow guys are good guys working for bad people. Thing is, they really didn't wanna backstab 141 like that, but it was all down to who wrote their paychecks. It was a shame they were made the villans cuz the actual bad guy tried to hide his fuck-ups
So was Rodolfo in command while Alejandro was off on the oil rig? Because Graves betrays everyone right after this mission where Soap and Ghost find him hiding in the safehouse later. So can it be assumed that he escaped the dragnet that Shadow Company put out and got to the safehouse just in time?
10:48 if you pay attention I think Graves is trying to kill Rudy and Ghost right there I think he lied about there being no abort code and counted on them dying so he'd have less to deal with
Nice setpieces in this mission. An oil rig and a ship in a storm. All those sliding cargo crates really change the idea of cover shooter, shocked nobody got squished. Is it just me or does the Fennec 45 look like that gun from COD Infinite that splits from an SMG into two pistols?
12:45 I find it absolutely terrifying and badass how this missile was able to destroy that oil rig in the blink of an eye. Just goes to show the raw strength that weapons of mass destruction can produce in just a single button click
Though I love the challenge it offers from a gameplay perspective, I can't get my head around the crew of that ship not properly securing their damn cargo.
This mission reminds me of call of duty 4 modern warfare/modern warfare 2 missions crew expendable and the only easy day was yesterday as well as that mission in medal of honor warfighter when you play as preacher
I knew Shadow Company would eventually betray TF141 but I didn't expect it to go like the way it did. I genuinely believed Graves would not betray them, perhaps Shepherd somehow gets rid of him and then uses the company to eliminate 141. The way Graves treats Soap like a brother and actually has respect for him. But in the end, the guy is a PMC and not just a member of the company but the CEO of the company itself. He probably didn't like to betray 141 and I also believe he despises Shepherd for not sending reinforcements to the Shadow soldiers that were ambushed while transporting the ballistic missiles. But unfortunately he has to work with Shepherd to cover the tracks of himself and General Shepherd, cause as we later found out the mission to transport the missiles to the US allies was both illegal and off the books. If the US government was to find out what happened, there'd be serious ramifications for both the General and Shadow Company. This is one of the great things about Modern Warfare 2. It focuses on the corrupt elements within the US government and how higher ups will use whatever means necessary to fulfil their goals. Although for many people this is common knowledge, it's nice to see it in a COD game.
Having looked up the coordinates listed in the cutscene using google earth, it's actually really close to New Orleans, which is probably the reason it's a target.

Pretty sure Infinite Warfare's weapon you mention is inspired by the design and acts as a futuristic spin on a known weapon.
