Mam ear has different sounds as in 1) near and 2) earn. Can we make general interpretation that ear sound as near is mostly used in end and ear sound as in earn is used in starting and in middle. Pls guide
Ear has 2 different pronunciations like, ( T-Air) means to rip and (T-ee-r) the water that runs out from our eyes. The word "earn" is not pronounced either way. Here "ea" is giving schwa sound and the word is like this ( uhn or urn). Similar pronunciations, sEARch, LEARN.
Eu ainda não tinha tido a ideia de como pesquisar para aprender a pronunciación do inglês, agora eu aprendo. Tomara que sim porque estou com muita dificuldade
Some tips: 1. Make up your mind about which pronunciation you want to learn. Do you want to pronounce the words in British English or American English? Once you get this answer, use the same pronunciation, and if you search for pronunciation on the internet or in a dictionary, make sure you have selected the one you want to learn. 2. Don't get overwhelmed with different pronunciations. English has many dialects, and even native speakers speak this language differently depending on their areas. The only thing you need to focus on first is whether your sentences make sense or not. I hope this helps. Do you mind asking me where are you from?
Mam air & ear sound are covered in dipthong video as well. So little confused that whether these two are trigraph or dipthong as there sound is also same
Please don't get confused between "-thongs" and "-graphs". Thongs refer to sounds and Graphs refer to letters. "Air, ear and are" all are trigraphs (mean consist of 3 letters) but they have two sounds in them (short vowel e and schwa or short vowel e and r). Get back to me if I'm still not clear.
Hi there, Nope, they are different. Bear has two meanings: the animal BEAR and to BEAR a load. The pronunciation is /b-air/. Whereas BEER is a drink. The pronunciation is /b-ear/. Hope this helps.
