Construction updates on Kyaliwajjala-Matugga road in 2024.

Today we bring u updates on the construction of KYALIWAJJALA-MATUGGA ROAD found in Wakiso district. The road was budgeted at 200 million Ugx and that is like 55 million USD.

I am afraid we have a very long way to go in infrastructure development having done practically nothing for 50 years; especially in most heavily populated urban areas such as Kampala. The longer we delay, the more expensive it will be. We will have to keep at it for at least another 50 years, to get to where we should be. However, there will be more challenges. The acute lack of housing is going to be yet another serious issue within the next 15 years, during which time the resident population in Kampala alone is expected to have more than tripled from approximately 2 to 7 million. I can hardly wait to see the Kampala-Jinja expressway in particular completed at last.

90 percent of Ugandan people are pedestrians, they commute on foot daily, but the government keeps building roads without walkways. It’s really the toughest part of living in Kampala.
