    andouille sausage
    Chicken stock
    Ham hawks
    Bay leaves
    Salt & pepper
    Oregano
    Thyme
    Paprika
    Cayenne Pepper
    Onion flakes
    Green pepper
    Red pepper
    Onion
    Celery
    Garlic cloves
    Red beens
    Garnish:
    Green onions
    Parsley
    Directions:
    Add oil to your pot, and add your chopped sausage. Cook, and remove. Now add your onions, cook and sweat so you can pick up what’s on the bottom of your pot. Now add your garlic, and cook. And your spices and allow it to cook for a few minutes. Add your chopped veggies, allow this to cook for about 10 minutes. Now add back your sausage. Add your stock as well as your ham hawks.
    *If you have soaked beans over night, add those to the pot.
    If you’re adding canned beans, hold off on adding these till it’s had 45 minutes of cooking time. You dont want your beans falling apart before your done cooking! 👀 (ask me how i know that) 🤣
    Now, add your beans, and cook it all for another 45 minutes.
    ✨Taste your food, and adjust your seasoning!!
    Now remove about 1/2 cup of beans and, mash. This is for you to naturally thicken up your dish.
    Remove the ham hawks, and shred or chop them up. Add them back into the pot.
    Simmer with no lid, till you achieve desired thickness.

    Now serve over a bed of rice and enjoy.
