Great take! (You should definitely play FFT though, haha. And if you're familiar with the Tactics Ogre music from the Palace of the Dead...you should just play that game too ) :3
Excellent arrangement on your end, but while Soken is an amazing composer, the song isn't by Soken at all. The tracks used in Rabanastre are literally direct rips of the .midi files from the FFT soundtrack by Hitoshi Sakimoto and Masaharu Iwata.
Yeah, the dev team all agreed that the original compositions were so good, that they left well enough alone and the only edit they made was to edit the channel data so it could be in stereo instead of the original mono. Every piece of music related to the Return to Ivalice storyline is all taken directly from Final Fantasy Tactics itself.
Got extremely confused by the title here... FFXIV, Trisection (FF Tactics), and Rabanastre (FFXII) on the same sentence O_o Well, they're all Final Fantasy... Nice arrangement btw! This one is composed by Sakimoto, and not Iwata.
FFXIV has a new raid based on Ivalice in general. The raid is The Royal City of Rabanastre, but the overarching story is heavily based on FFT, and it has FFT music playing.
Life is short ...bury! Steady sword! (Agrias hacks sword in air a pile of ice falls on archers head and does 45 hp damage and stops movement)
Love it. One of the most underrated games. What a great sound track.
Amazing and brings me back to my childhood about 20 years ago.
Thank you for this!

Ah, thanks! I actually never played FFT so I just guessed it was Soken. Whoops.

FInal Fantasy has the best music ever.
poeople who agree...
Really great job!
But this song isn't by soken, they copied it 1:1 from FFT
They didn't even "copy" it. It's straight from Tactics. They didn't re-orchistrate it.
it bothers me that it's like slightly out of tune flat
