Wow Flatout 2 is really good for its time! It even has even tire tracks on dirt! But Ultimate Carnage looks definitely just like remastered version. But that's the hell of a good remaster!!!
A bad remaster in reality as there are many bugs that hasn't been corrected at all . As they made the game more easier compared to it's predecessor Flatout 2 .
If someone's wondering, yes, there's a mod somewhere around to replace the FO:UC soundtrack with the OG FO2 soundtrack..
I have it and it's amazingly well done, making the game just *perfect*, the visuals and content from FOUC with the adrenaline shot that the OG FO2 soundtrack gives you

Difference between Flatout 2 & Flatout 2 : Ultimate Carnage are
- 2 new cars but seen in Flatout 1 already
- 12 drivers instead of 8
- new soundtrack but the ones in Flatout 2 has better music
- little correction of some bugs , but overall they're still present in both games
- they made the game more easier in FOUC as it looks more like it's a console port than being a 100% pure PC game
- Better graphics since it's in HD but is somehow a lazy effort to gain a quick buck instead to have made a "new" Flatout racing game ( similar with Serious Sam the first & second encounter in HD were not needed either )
The biggest problem i have with both Flatout 2 & it's remake in HD is that once you have won all the cups the game AI suddenly drops to become very easy as even with the shittiest cars you can win every race without using the boost/nitro .
Another thing i find useless is upgrading your car to make it faster and stronger , but in fact you doesn't feel any difference in reality .
Flatout 1 was much better as it has a real expert mode as the game is more realistic in all aspects .
Flatout 3 is a disgrace to call it a game .
Flatout 4 is meh-bleh has some slight good moments but it's bad .
Flatout Head-on is Flatout 2 there's nothing different .
You have even a Flatout game for tablets whit only 4 cars only which s*cks too .
As for Wreckfest they tried too hard to make a Destruction Derby game but failed since there are too many bugs and inacuracies .
Why Destruction Derby 1 and surely the Second one is excellent if it's on Playstation as on PC . "Woaw!!....total destruction!!"
Sadly we will never have games like those anymore i'm affraid .
Another racing game that's unique in it's genre is Split Second/Velocity
Flatout Head On its Flatout 2 with Ultimate Carnage game modes and soundtrack. Also, there is Trail Out which remember Flatout games.

So Flatout Head On isn't a great game and wasn't needed to be made . Which proof once again small devs here Bugbear weren't doing great and only tought about the money similar to the devs from Serious Sam .
The devs could have easily port Flatout Ultimate Carnage on console and not make nonsense crap titles no ?!
So at the end there are only 2 and a half official Flatout games the first, the second and it's remake in HD. The rest i don't count as canon to the franchise .
Similar with Destruction Derby there are only two official games that are canon . Destruction Derby Raw was made when Playstation 1 was on it's decline as it wasn't a great game either .
@@defiraphi No, Flatout Head On its a great game because its made to be the PSP version of Flatout 2, but they reused some elements from Ultimate Carnage due of licenses, especially the songs. Flatout Head On its a decent PSP port of a PS2 game, doens't are a crap low budget like Most Wanted 5-1-0. Flatout Ultimate Carnage was made to be the next-gen version of the regular Flatout 2 which was released at the same year of the PS3 and Xbox, not a multiplataform project.

FUC gameplay with FO2 soundtrack is the best. Tho i do like FUC’s soundtrack too. Wish there was a way to have both but the mod i got REPLACES it. But all well. 😂

Old games can never get old
FOUC is better for the superior graphics, overall presentation, extra racers, and extra physics objects laying around. As for the soundtrack in both games, I don't really care. I have Spotify, YT, and MP3s that get the job done just fine. FO2 is better for weaker hardware, like laptops that hardly have any business running 7th gen games. Thankfully my PC can run FOUC in 4K 100 fps, and it makes me smile big everytime I start playing it. Love this game!
The biggest (and may be the only) downside of FOUC for me is the abscence of multiplayer. Considering that support for the game has recently been renewed I really hope it will be implemented in the near future

I would prefer Ultimate Carnage but only with Flatout 2 soundtrack. The one from Ultimate Carnage doesn't rock that hard
Ultimate carnage is 2 but better if you put the effort into solving gfwl issues and replacing the music with fo2's ost
Overall, the OG Flat Out 2 is better.
Ultimate Carnage has obviously better graphocs, but the other game is not lackong at this. I like a lot the track presentation before the race start in UC, with some short videos with views from the race. Also, they added elements in the tracks in UC, let's say they remastered the tracks. However, UC is too crowded for me, 12 players is too much for me. 8 players feels ideal like in the OG game. Also, I really don't like the new characters, especially in terms of the images chosed. Why can't they have a photo made with the full face from the front, they look like some weirdos. The OG game has by far the better soundtrack and the cars feel better, each one feela unique. I don't like the new features in Demolition derbies they added in UC. I preffer the old game - Flat Out 2

Yeah, sure. Maps are slightly different. In UC they are more detailed but shorter. Physics are pretty much the same. I only noticed small difference in grip but nothing more then that. Hope I helped)))

Tbh I'd say that Ultimate carnage cars feel a bit heavier AND faster, which is a weird combination, but I personally prefer flatout 2 for music and difficulty. They botched the AI and car balance in Ultimate Carnage. Also derbies are easy AF in UC, whereas IN FO2 they're actually challenging

Uc is cool but cmon, 2 is better. Esp for its time, while uc is just a remaster with some extras, even if its a pretty good one. Im really not a fan of the new characters, music, and physics of uc. I do appreciate the graphics, upped difficulty, and carnage mode tho. I just never find myself coming back to uc like i do with 2

That doens't makes the game better, Flatout 2 have better career mode and soundtrack compared to Ultimate Carnage and doesn't needed 12 opponents to be fun.

Flatout UC does not have LAN :(
but fouc technically is just mod for fo2, so theoretically someone can port lan from fo2 to fouc. But, atleast, official multiplayer with windows live is still works
I don't realy see why would someone use LAN today but yeah, unfortunately it is not there for some reason
For me UC is better (i played both) i only feel 2 better in multiplayer (they removerd lan in uc), and sounds because engines sound very strange in UC, music you can fix with a mod

Doens't have much differences on the physics of Ultimate Carnage, only a little different on car grip.

@@albertosaurus01 That are not exclusive for the Ultimate Carnage, the cars does the same on Flatout 2, you can't drive them while are touching the walls.
FO2 felt more slippery then UC. But all in all they are practicaly identical
