This series is so long and convoluted that I doubt we would ever see it realized as an anime. That being said, I can totally see it in it's glory as an animated epic. This is a truly incredible sword and sorcery saga, a dark fantasy that has never truly been realized on the silver screen.

What I love most about this series is that the MC never really becomes overpowered. When you think he's too strong, he still gets demolished by the same guy he struggled with like 110 chapters ago. There's always someone stronger despite his abilites seeming absurdly unfair on the surface.
yeah, there's a real sense of "Character Growth" in it. It feels fresh to see something like that :)

@@fisforfriendship6093They didn't even know he was powerful though, they thought he was a bug or something, they looked him like a fly you see at the moment. They nerfed him thinking that was a bug on the system so "reseted him" to get rid of the bug.
Which is strange, they knew that the Elf and Isaac where there and that they knew about of the stuff of now. But it was like they didn't see him.
Have to say, I watched this and it made me want to read the story myself. This is quite the interesting one for sure. For those seeing this, know that it only sets up the minor plot, but doesn't even remotely scratch at the major plot. There is a lot more going on than meets the eye, and I'll say this...I genuinely wish I knew who this no name skeleton really is that he is getting such the opportunity to do what it is doing. Totally recommend doing a part 2, and totally recommend reading for yourself if interested. Just know, it will be quite the back and forth when it comes to progress and setback.
And for those curious, 245 chapters and counting is how long this is.

@@akhilluffy5300 Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a reliable one yet that carries the whole series. I just know the series is still on going and has 240 chapters. Seemed every time I thought I found a reliable place to read the chapters I had to find another soon after due to broken uploads or missing parts causing parts to be missed.
For people that actually stuck with the manga, what are your thoughts on it now?
The primary reason I ended up dropping the manga was because the novelty of going back to square one completely wore off. Not because i'm one of those guys that are like "WHY ISN'T THE MC OP YET?!?!?!" but because I didn't really see how the MC was developing as a character through the very ruthless setbacks, since he is the only thing in the story that the reader can base 'progress' on.

@@weslindsey5909 I forget because it has been a very long time, but it was after the drag queen character was introduced and I remember that character was supposed to be stronger than the skeleton's 'rival' the imperial knight he stole most of his skills from.
I dropped it there because it was starting to get exhausting to keep track of all the antagonists. Typically in these power fantasies they will create a very OP antagonist to beat way down the line, and then the MC slowly works his way through opponents that prepare him to face OP antagonist. Once OP antagonist is beaten the author has done the leg work to introduce the next OP antagonist in a way that isn't confusing. Meanwhile this story had trouble resolving previous plot points while constantly piling on new problems to overcome.
This comic proves I’m a sucker for a good skeleton story. I also love it when time travel stuff is used so well

This one is really depressing. Rubia was just gone and forgotten so easily. Then Reina gets abandoned and even though he gave her that warning, it's not like she's gonna know anything he's talking about and she's just going to end up killed again. I get it not every story is gonna be happy, but still, its all just a bunch of false hopes and depression. We have enough of that IRL
dont forget hes supposed to be a monster, which becomes more evident as we see more of the lack of remorse he has - even though he may have some emotions to back his actions.

SPOLIERS FOR PEOPLE WHO DID NOT READ THE MANWHA YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
I read up until what's available now ( ch 260 ) and I would say it's hardly a reset. Yeah the timeline rewrite changes a few things but most of his knowledge is still applicable. He still has his lu-lium circuits from isaac, he still knows how to cast magic, he lost all his levels but is leveling up 36 times (!!!) faster so he's back up to normal level almost immediately, the characters who remember him from "dreams" still remember the old timeline, he can still suck up souls and continues to do so all the time, he still has his 4d space manipulation powers and infinite inventory ( he actually learns some really cool new tricks that isaac didn't teach him cuz he was too noob to use his domain )...
And the list goes on. It's not a TOTAL reset like you say it is. In fact the plot picks up quite a bit after he familiarizes himself with the changes to the timeline and gets some levels. Season 4 so far is mostly composed of him going to hell and some really interesting things happen there and the other half is him doing is best attempt at stopping the empire by far and it's still going. I advise you keep going cuz it's still really good.
This story is getting good needs more parts to come out.

This was a really great way to establish a narrative using time loops. It's not just about skelly becoming overpowered and whatnot. It's about the people he leaves behind everytime he dies. And he was by default: a monster that shouldn't feel compassion towards others besides their master.
Isaac even argued that he wasn't exploiting his loop powers enough, his love for his friends drives the plot. Not some apathetic isekai hero after a harem.
I honestly quite like the concept of _'entry level mob becomes OP for reasons because reasons'_ manga/anime.
Slime isekai was a fun ride from _'uwu am slime'_ to *_'Your race is in my way, PREPARE FOR G E N O C I D E.',_* so i can't wait to see where this is going. :)

I read up to the latest chapter because of this video. It’s taken 2 days of nonstop reading and I can confidently say this story is amazing and worth everyone’s time.
Yeah I stumbled onto this one accidentally and binged it as well.
The whole story is the skeleton getting stronger incredibly slow and basically entering ng+ after 90 chapters BEFORE even completing anything. He gets close to becoming strong enough only to get one-up and have to literally lose every progression he had (starting from when he is born) and have to now take a different route after investing so much time. It happens like 3 times 🫥
Story isn't that bad but they're really pushing it with the different leveling progress when he gets a full reset (for whatever reason) and the "system leveling progress" changed. It when from unlocking skills with training, to unlock skills/level with absorbing a corpse, to (currently) be a con artist with liar skills and having subordinates (that are given to him by a necromancer).
Isn't that how it is? We play games and reset all the time without thinking about it. To start again and do something else, or prestige and boost our next run.

We completed and earn something. Not reprogress/World reset after taking an L. The only exception to that is survival games. And even MC had "Checkpoints" that were resetted back to when he was raised from the dead.
Take note that we are NOT playing a game, we're reading a story. Only thing similar to that is watching other people play, and that only applies to speed runners or story games that have checkpoints. Only time they would hard-reset (start from the very beginning) is if they willingly or unwillingly deleted their save files. Example: Skyrim. That's boring as hell to watch someone rinse and repeat that.
Ignoring that:
1. The story is hard resetted
2. The system is readjusted for an unexplained reason like the author wanted to alter how it works 3 different times
3. The story is significantly altered and you literally feel like you could skip 90 chapters since most of the people he meets are wiped from existence or not relevant for the next 30 chapters.
4. MC encounters with enemies after he was hard-resetted the first time. His first run has reasonable battles and met someone much more powerful. The other 2-3 were just him getting trashed and him losing ALL of his skills and passives. It was dumb

The style of "system" is very game-like, and the idea of resetting to the start of a story is very "rogue-like" (where you reset when you die, usually with something extra or it can be a hard reset) so for you to get into a tissy over this is beyond me.

Manga is up to chapter 246, and he still gets bodied a lot. The overarching plot hasn't yet revealed much either, with skelly not able to figure out much about the world on his own. At the current rate it is going to be a long time before he is able to act independently and not be under another entity's thumb.

This doesn't really do the story justice while the Skeleton does get stronger that's hardly the central focus. Its really a mystery story in a fantasy setting, Where the skeleton is basically at war with the world itself in a effort to protect his companions. He learns a lot of horrifying revelations about the world he inhabits too while trying to protect.

I've always wondered why this Manga was never animated, it's such a refreshing take on fantasy monsters, it has some nice themes of humanity and self worth. It also get's really intense lol. Even one season would be pretty good, since it's pretty long I don't think anyone would "want" to animate it to a high quality, but they did it for solo levelling so who knows.
If this was ever animated I would want Gianni Matragrano to voice Skelly Boi, that's the voice I gave him at least

This is litterally the perfect story. This video only skims the surface of the story. It's literally "un-put-downable". I'm currently reading Chapter 180+ of a 240 chapter series so far and all I can say is wooow! The world building is insane, and the way they use his 'reincarnation' trait to steer the story is completely insance. This video got me started, now this series sits comfortably in my top 5 manga of all time. I only wish I discovered it after the series ended coz I hate having to wait week after week for a chapter

Damn, i literally dropped it because of how convoluted the story is with the hard resets and weird system changes, like we are reading a whole different story at some point. Even if the world building is great the pacing gets too tiring, it's like watching someone regrind a game again and again, losing his checkpoints a few times and even making some characters suddendly irrelevant.
At first i really liked it but at some point when i realized it had nothing to do with what i started reading i suddendly lost all interest
@@joey_f4ke238 twas my first. Since it I've found many I liked and liked more to simply grow out of them after the 100th chapter. Had many good experiences and am now moving towards other avenues in life. Nonotheless it was fun while it lasted until it hit a certain normalancy.

I was never fan of anime nor a manga. But recently went into all that recap scene and that particular one is amazing. Clever funny idea about skelly... love it.
In series "you've picked up a sword (sword skill acquired)" "You've swung a sword 500 times, sword ability lvl up".
In actual games "You just harvested your 300th crop (lvl up)" "This is the 5th time you've logged in (lvl up)".
I wish more games adopted a more Runescape like system where you level up however you like.
Could make some skills's level cap reduce as you level up opposite skills. Like leveling a type of magic makes you unable to reach certain warrior or physical levels.
Make choosing a class not a forced path but make it easier to level up certain attributes and to higher level.
While a neutral class can level up all skills higher than any class's worst attributes, but never higher than their best ( neutral's physical cap is 80 while a mage's is 60 and a warrior's is 110 ).

I know (currently) 248 episodes (chapters) long which seems long and it is but trust me once you start reading you'll get so invested in the story that the chapters will just disappear till you check and realize you're only 3 chapters away from catching up
Big disclaimer would be don't read it if you don't enjoy watching someone regrind the same thing over and over with little progression and even some hard resets, i loved the world and the concept but it felt like it didn't go anywhere and suddendly things like the progression system change for no reason
been following this since its first chapter this gets so much better and this video only scratches the surface

This story currently has a very low rating in Korea. It keeps getting more complicated and convoluted as time goes on. Nobody understands what's going on anymore, especially at 250+ chapters. It started off well, but as the story progresses, the plot becomes increasingly confusing. More mysteries and questions keep piling up, and we can't get answers to them. Everybody's goals and motivations are unclear, and the power level is nonsensical. It's as if the author just threw in whatever he could think of into the writing.
Now for the anime, there's enough here for several seasons.

This is a REALLY good idea for an anime/manga.. We witness the life of a player-character in an RPG through the eyes of the character, but with the player- part removed/invisible. Like when your character in Diablo dies in a rift, respawns at the entrance, and after assigning some skill points, paragon points, goes off to try again.
