  • What medical conditions rarely result in Social Security disability approvals?
And what to do if you have one?
In this video, I discuss three medical conditions that, in my experience, rarely resonate with judges. This does not mean that you can't win, but you will be fighting an uphill battle.
Also, if you have another significant medical issue and one of these conditions, the presence of the secondary condition can make a difference in your favor.
The conditions I discuss in this video are:
    - sleep apnea
    - adult ADHD
    - seizure disorders
For each of these conditions, the biggest issue usually has to do with the level of evidence that is often presented. I explain why I believe judges are hesitant to issue awards and what, in my opinion, you would need to prevail.

Paid into unemployment 35 year's can't get it. Now disabled since 2018. They say I owe them 10k. This system is a complete fraud.

Deprivation of sleep is real and horrible. Its sad when one denies another, if one has not experienced the truth of it.

Tired from sleep apnea and still go work a physical job? It ain't much different then having a new born for that first year.

I don't disagree but for whatever reason sleep apnea usually will not support a finding of disability.

If sleep apnea was my thing I would just make sure to have an extra awful night before the hearing so that the judge can see why I would not be able to be around people because of my condition hehehe!! Of course my condition is not sleep apnea. I hear that I snore but that may be something different. I really am glad I don't have to sleep with a leaf blower strapped to my face!!

Another looser diagnosis is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome--no matter how severe it is (forget it).. and upper extremity nerve damage cases are really tough to make (but sometimes doable). Claimants have to provide extensive documentation.

Hello, thanks for this videos. Question. What if u suffer from epilepsy, severe sleep apnea, and narcolepsy, Hidranitis Supportiva, and Mild carpal tunnel all in one? And also Do attorneys still represent u if they feel u may not have a winning case?

What about lower back arthritis, ruptured discs, degenerative disc disease, untreated muscle damage in lower back and umbilical hernia?

    • @ssdattorney

Those are diagnoses, which is a starting point. The main issue - how do these medical issues impact you in a simple, entry-level work environment?

Is it true you have reviews on Disability. I heard you will have 1 in 3,5, and 7 years. I've had my since 2009 and have never had a review. Will they still review? I'm now 58 soon 59 yes old. I'm worse now then I was before. I've recently was in the hospital for blood clots 1 behind my right eye an before I was released after 10days 5 in ICU. Another appeared behind my right side behind liver and today is 2-4-23. So will I still be reveiwed?.Thanks so much

No disrespect at all, but as an ICU nurse I can tell you a d d does not get better with age it gets worse with anxiety and depression oh, I have no sort of seizure disorder thank goodness but if they knew exactly what was causing the seizure they wouldn't be a disorder the brain unlike the heart will you need a valve replaced, or the kidney is causing hypertension .it's very difficult to pinpoint exactly what causes some peoples seizures. But I do know if it's bad enough that they're not allowed to drive😢😢..well...
My arthritis is so bad that I need two hip replacements I have been in ICU nurse for 23 years and I cannot walk without a walker I have two broken toes that are going to be broken forever my back my neck and I try not to complain, but sometimes the person is a lot more than the few notes that the doctor or nurse write. I also have bilateral keratoconus... and I won't get into the rest but this hot mess just wants to be normal again, I miss working .I've lost my car,home,life...unfortunately ,been denied twice.. if the system would just talk to or look at the human being first and not the notes that a doctor writes rushed in a short visit things might be different for some of us I absolutely understand about certain conditions being not enough however what does it take while you're picking out your casket is that when they tell you you are sick enough. Those of us that worked through covid and saved strangers life for over two decades😢..

I don't disagree but my experience with SSD is that adult ADD just doesn't resonate with Social Security judges. They seem to feel that if you were able to work with adult ADD in the past it should not suddenly become work preclusive. I am just reporting what I see.

I'd like to know if I'll be denied if I chose NOT TO HIRE AN ADVOCATE, and my records weigh more than I can lift???🤔
Will I get denied for using a rolling case of needed?🤔

    • @ssdattorney
      @ssdattorney  2 года назад +23

The weight of your records is not relevant. What they say is key. Using a rolling cart is evidence that you can push and pull so if you are contending that you cannot push and pull then you should have someone else bring the cart in.
