As an Australian i actually really enjoyed this video. Japan has so much history and culture and such passion for football, its great to see them go through. As a socceroos fan, im stressing about not making the wc, because we are in some terrible form. I doubt we will make the cut, and if we don't qualify, ill be barracking for the samurai blue.

    • @ev.9355
      @ev.9355 7 лет назад +2

Isaac Madhwan yeah, Australia are a decent team we just need a key striker IMO. We should really beat syria at home but away from home its anyones game. With the poor form we hit reacently i doubt we will qualify. We may get pass syria, if we can play to our best, be than heading to south america will be difficult. At least if we qualify it'll be a great story.

As a football fan from India I can totally relate to this
In India cricket is the most famous sport and football lacks behind it
But in the last 5 years the growth has been great
Grassroots infrastructure is developing and more young kids are playing the sport
We got a new more professional league named Indian Super League and the effect of the league can be seen on the national team
We qualified to the 2018 AFC Asian Cup
    Played a draw with China
Hosted the U17 world cup in 2017 and the Indian team giving a fighting performance inspite of our standing in world football
And U16 team reached the quarter final of 2018 AFC u16 championship where they lost 1-0 to South Korea
And I pray to God that we keep growing and just like Japan one day India can also qualify to the world cup 😇

Being such a fan of Japanese subculture myself, it's really fascinating to see what football is like from Japan's perspective, and that game between Australia and Japan? I was kinda torn, but I will always bleed green and gold. If it wasn't for that game, we wouldn't have to play a do or die game against Thailand, or a playoff against Syria. This coming international break means more to Australia than any other. We win, we're in!

I'm glad that Japan focused so much on baseball. They have given us great superstars and a beautiful interpretation of our game. Now I'm all about football but my first love is baseball and Japan and Korea are a big part of the sport.

Bro it s a passing by sport, a tiny one, not a global sport, except usa, cuba, nicaragua, venezuela, japan and a few other little nations across Carribeans no one cares about it. The Football is the real beautiful game !

@@danyfromcta Is your brain so tiny that you can't understand that some things that don't interest you interest others? Not sure what you mean by passing sport but the league is the oldest in the world even older than any football leagues. MLB is the second highest revenue league in the world above all of the soccer leagues. Maybe don't comment on what you don't know.

@@stevenygabbyperez695 Japan is now starting to move away from baseball, in the last 30 years the football fan base in Japan has grown massively at a much faster rate than baseball even some of Japan's top football players play for some of Europe's best football clubs which makes them more popular back home and will help encourage the future generation to become professional football players themselves

@@AdamTheMan1993Nah I'm Japanese and I can say Japan still loves baseball. National Team(soccer, olympic and rugby etc) is very popular when they play in international competition. but clubs aren't. still far away to baseball level popularity. Maybe same situation like America. They watch worldcup but don't care MLS so much.

Awesome documentary. Love Japan, vamos Nippon from Sweden!
I lived in Japan for three years and that country holds a special place in my heart. And I actually saw them in Osaka once against Tajikistan, 8-0 win, but even against such a weak opposition the stadium was full and the atmosphere was great.

Premier League players Winston Reid (West Ham) and Chris Wood (Burnley striker) will be playing along with our two Dutch Eredivisie wingers, Marco Rojas and Ryan Thomas and some talent from Major League Soccer in North America. Strong Japan team named too with many Europe-based players.
